everyone that’s saying “ed probably had a melancholy first time w stede” needs to rewatch this scene fr. like look at how happy ed is!! he’s humming, he’s relaxing, he WANTS these moments with stede. their night was probably a lot of fun but everyone is so angsty about it bc of what happens later in the episode. it’s the right person, right actions, wrong timing that’s all.
It’s so funny to me how the show implies that Ed is the bottom. Like Ed asking Stede to run him trough with the sword in the first season, now with Stede’s naked fingers and his rings by the Window while Ed has his rings on. And Just to make it clear they have Izzy looking LOOKING at Ed with a face and saying the docked joke. I Love that this things are normal in this world and nothing to be ashamed of. Ed knows what he likes and that’s okey ❤ This scene is really sweet also, the smile in Stede face when Ed tells him he looked fantastic ❤ Ed looks relaxed and so in love, he is so eager to come back to the bed with the breakfast, he craves sweetness and domesticity and creaves the soft and delicate side of Stede ❤

There is something so adorable and romantic about this scene, seeing them just being relaxed and in love. Also the new dynamic between Ed and Izzy, where they are actually friends again and just casually giving each other shit, is amazing.
