Love watching the celebration at the end after those excellent performances. I believe Knockmore came second the year before so to then go one better in Sligo must have been so delightful and very satisfying as a group. Well done.

They should put a microphone on the BASS end of the piano -- that and the drums are what make people dance

Thanks Maggie, love the band, this video reminds me more than a little of a band from my original place, the Brosna Ceili Band from Co Kerry, home of the famous Con Curtin and now one of his grand nephews (hope I have the realtionship right) is All Ireland Fiddle Champion this year. Love the combination of flutes and fiddles and also the banjo in your band

Forgot to add in my earlier reply, that this year's winners The Shandrum Ceili band are magic and will be hard to beat next year. Were ye in Ennis this year?
I love Ceili bands, such an integral part of our culture on this island. Long may it all last. Must take ages just to practice for a performance on stage at the Fleadh.

I see three fiddlers, one banjoist, one pianist, two flutists, one accordionist, one drummer, and one concertina player.
