Congratulations on the work you do! I am tempted to buy one of your Cobra sports but in Italy they are not very popular to get a good idea of the result .. I have mounted 2 different handcrafted exhausts in my BMW 128ti, one resonated 70mm in diameter and one not 63.5mm but with both of them I have vibrations inside, what can be caused?
i have recently bought a non resonated cat back system from cobra for my 1.4l audi a1 and i can tell you its probably one of the best sounding a1s i have heard, trying not to be biased since its my car but definitely a good choice for an exhaust system
How about exhaust drone? Does a non-resonated exhaust produce more drone than the resonated version, or do they just differenciate in sheer volume and the raw-ness of the sound?
There is the potential for more 'drone' with a non-resonated exhaust system as there is one less silencer, however this is not to say every non-resonated system will drone as this all varies depending on the specific make and model of the car, and is due to the engine's characteristics.
@@Exhaustsounds Wow, thanks big time for the amazing clarification! You described in your reply that exhaust drone can orrur, according to the type of vehicle and configuration of said. I could imagine that the engine aspiration (turbo or NA) plays a big role into that. From your experience, which type of vehicle configurations are really sentitive to create exhaust drone?
@@c.p.2275 From our experience Honda VTEC engines can be susceptible to drone, both the older N/A and newer turbo models and certain VAG configurations can if equipped with a de-cat downpipe - the sports cat options less so.
@@Exhaustsounds wow, thanks again for your reply. It is awesome to get such in depth feedback from a company with this kind of experience in producing quallity exhaust systems. I am considering an exhaust upgrade from Cobra, on my VR6 powered audi TT MK2. I will definitely take this advice into consideration when choosing between a resonated or non-resonated system!

I have been researching and find that Cobra offer one of the very best exhaust notes -rich and deep .
