I'm glad you figured it out. I started making my own bands a few months back. It looks more complicated than it is. After a few failures I got the hang of it. Saves yourself a lot of money in the long run.
I love my ruler because I experiment a lot. I'm close to choosing the size for a template. You know me, I HATE spending money so it has to be the right choice. Your editing skills are improving with every video. Keep up the good work!
Thank you brotherman, I agree with you 100% the ruler is a great tool for experimenting with tapers, I’ve shot 22/14 short for a while now and the template made sense to me, cut and tie a bunch of bands in half the time! 👊
So my set up has changed since this video... how I do it is I cut my bands at 150mm, I will lose 10mm between tying on the pouch and attaching it to the clipped slingshot. That leaves me 140mm active band length. Which equals 550% elongation for my draw length. If I am using a wrap and tuck frame, I will add 5mm more to my cut length. Hope that helps, sounds more confusing than it really is. Great question! Thank you
Tnx
Dude!! Never thought about marking the ruler itself!! You, my friend, are a genius!!!
Good stuff! I really don’t mind the ruler, but I had to give the template a fair chance.
