Musk is just perfect in these calls. He just told everyone no automaker is interested in Tesla FSD and that they all think it doesn't work. He told everyone that the robot is useless and they can't figure out a way to make it useful in any way. He told everyone they won't expand their production. Then he told everyone he might leave and take 'his' AI tech elsewhere. Just gold. People should just short Tesla stock evry time he does one of these calls.

There are lots of valid criticisms of Elon Musk and Tesla. But one thing you cannot take away from him is Tesla is the first new car company that at least so far is still around since Tucker which was an unmitigated failure. Tucker barely avoided jail and Delorean ended up selling cocaine to keep the company afloat for just a short while and ended up in jail.
Musk singlehandedly led the entire American car market over the cliff of EV as inventories build and auotmakers quietly shut down EV lines and increase ICE lines.

Camera (C): "Captain, there's something straight ahead of us and we're on a ram-course."
Software (S): "Well, what is it?"
      C: "I don't know, I can't get a sharp picture of it. Shall I take evasive action?"
S: "No, you first have to determine what is in front of us."
C: "Captain, I still can't make out what's ahead of us, but if I don't take evasive action now, we're going to hit it."
S: "I don't give a damn; I want to know WHAT is ahead of us before I decide what to do."
C: "Captain, it looks like we just ran over a pedestrian."
S: "Damn it C, why didn't you warn me sooner?"
Rest of the world: "The sheer stupidity of using visual recognition to decide IF the car should take evasive action is mind-boggling."

Right now judge scrapped Elon's plans on $56 bln payment and in minutes literally every single social network media alongside meme sites are reposting Elon's twit about "first neuralink implant has been installed" - and no one in comment section is questioning credibility or even mentioned any negatively colored news like this. Why? Because most so called reporters don't filter anything and just take marketing BS as news.
When you look at the 'details' you'll find that there are none. All they have are 'claims' by Elon of what it "will" do (as in what they hope they can make it do once they have figured out the actually technology, made it, tested it, refined it) but not what it can actually do. I don't know anyone who uses Twitter, they think its a joke but I do know a few who were duped into buying a Tesla. Also, the tax rate in China just went up by 10%. The local Shanghai government granted Tesla a corporate income tax rate of 15% for 2019 through 2023, compared to the typical 25% rate in China. Starting in 2024 Tesla factory in Shanghai is required to generate CN¥2.23 billion of annual tax revenues. That's +/- $360m USD minimum from 2024 and on, unless Tesla wants to give back the hundreds of millions of subsidies it got from the Chinese government. That they can't always distinguish oncoming traffic, road markers, pedestrians and should only be used when the driver is in a position to react instantly. Meaning that the only time Tesla says you should use the smart summon function is when you are already in the vehicle you are intending to summon... That is not autonomous.

Just disappointed the guy holding the space booted him. Should have left Elon to fumble around and expose how little he knows about how his company actually works.

@@surfmanfishI think Elon achieved that one 😂
He couldn't answer not a single question and resulted to name calling because of it!
And the one asking was a Twitter engineer aka the site Elon bought and instantly claimed to know everything about! Like when he said he can read PRINTED code and get the implications!
... besides; pushing this giant Baby just a little harder he'd left the call.
He can't handle though situations why he moves all assets to Texas because MommyTexas holds little Elons hand- and all it took was one meanie.
      Pathetic is Elons second name.

They SERIOUSLY said their bot is USELESS at the stage it's at in an INVESTORS call. They're not only incompetent at producing anything with any kind of quality, they also have no idea how to appease shareholders. I now understand why Tesla's shares fell so hard in value in recent years.

To be frank, it's never their goal to appease shareholders.

I disagree - part of Musk's spiel is to promise everything the shareholders would require or dream of (like 100% ROI risk-free investment in robotaxis, convoy technology in semis, full FSD next year, etc.) to keep the current shareholders and to reel in new -suckers- investors, he is just bad at keeping the quiet parts from being spoken aloud during shareholder meetings.

@fortissears5388 why then would he, on numerous occasions, urge shareholders to sell tesla and tell them to not own the stock if they care about quarterly results. I mean tweets like, "bankwupt" don't seem to fit in the "tell shareholders what they want to hear category" imho.
