Kurt Russell was the very best one and that movie was EXCELLENT. He captured the essence, the rhythm, the charisma of Elvis' personality with great authority, like no one else. My second favorite was Dale Midkiff, in Elvis and Me, which was another good one. Dale portrayed some of the darker sides of the King and did a very good job. The ending of Elvis and Me was so tragic...saddest ending I have ever seen and Dale really brought it. The Kurt Russell movie ended on a high note, as he had his first smash performance in Vegas.

In my opinion we still need to see, the ultimate Elvis biopic. There have been many good attempts along the way, but thye all had theire faults. I Say the series with Michael St. Gerad is the best attempd to date. But the series with Jonathan Rhys meyers failed totally. Main reason because he was wrongly casted for the leading part. I mean if they cant even get his hair right (a thing so essential for Elvis) then at least try with a wig. But my overall favourite biopic of Elvis is the one with Kurt Russell. I wish they would do it as good as the biopics about Jerry Lee and Ritchie Valens. "Great balls of fire" and "La Bamba" are amazing movies!!

Michael St Gerard looked most like early Elvis and did a good job in the TV series. Those two are the best all the others Bruce Campbell was next best but the others were very poor and some stank big time.
