Hallelujah is the most beautiful Song I ever heard from Janet Devlin and her back singer Celtic Singer ( I Take hats off to them )(They are beautiful Singers)😮😢❤❤❤😊
I would call Janet Devlin a Celtic Lady also regardless of not being in a band called the same. Her haunting and angelic voice saves lives and can make this world a better place. Might even get those stinking Brits out of Northern Ireland. She is a treasure.
Brannagan O'Brannagan. Greetings from USA. Janet is everything you say. A gift from Ireland to the world. I hope everything works out in the north for everyone. When I visit the Giants Causeway someday I hope it is officially Irish soil as it should be.
Now I understand why they say, "Ireland Pride" or "Ireland Proud" or "Irish Pride". Thank you Janet Devlin. One more place to add to my travels. Simply beautiful.
Beautiful Janet, simply beautiful. I feel very proud after watching this video. First of all, I am Canadian, and the song. It was written by a Canadian. I have loved that song since the day it came out. Secondly, I am of Irish decent. And I thought I caught a glimpse of our family castle in that video. God Bless you Janet!
Janet Devlin, beautiful soul, beautiful lady, beautiful voice from a beautiful country. I am so thankful I accidently came across you BGT audition a year or so back...fan for life. BTW Janet, you cross all lines of demographics and geographics, I am 59 year old male from Tampa Florida, USA
such a beautiful voice Janet, and amazing video, never been to Ireland, thank you for sharing all.these beautiful places, something to treasure, will always keep this in my album, love and all my very best wishes Janet, Sue 🍀🎶☘️
I wish I had been able to see Ireland but at 70 and on pension, I don't think my chances are great. Thank you for your lovely rendition of Hallelujah Janet, your beautiful voice, and the gorgeous pictures of my ancestor's land.
ABSOLUTELY ENCHANTING. I love you Janet, and one day I hope to visit Ireland to find an Angel or Fairy lady just like you. My ancestors are all from Ireland, and in my heart I feel so close to all things Irish. I'm from America, but your voice brings me home.

It is very emotional, but fact that vocal is recorded in very small room is stopping potential. Plus dynamic range is a bit to low for sound levels in this song. In general voice is wonderful :)

Awesome!

Thank you for covering this song and using the proper word YOU instead of YA....Your voice and person bless me....
Have you ever heard Leonard Cohen sing it? He sings it "ya" and he wrote the song. It just fits the meter of the song better.

these are the lyrics as they are on Various Positions
Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Your faith was strong, but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
You say I took the Name in vain
I don't even know the Name
But if I did, well really, what's it to you?
There's a blaze of light
In every word
It doesn't matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
And even though
It all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah...
these are the additional lyrics as per Cohen Live (and Jeff Buckley et al); there are rumoured to be many more verses but these are the ones also that appear in Stranger Music so if there are any more available I don't know where they are
baby I've been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
love is not a victory march
it's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
There was a time you let me know
What's really going on below
but now you never show it to me, do you?
And remember when I moved in you
the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe there's a God above
but all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
It's no complaint you hear tonight
It's not some pilgrim who's seen the light
it's a cold and it's a lonely(/broken )Hallelujah
...that David played and it pleased the Lord...
@@paulmackenzie1850 Wrong Mr Cohen singa YA not you and it's that you that breaks the meter

Elena house has a good voice but Janet just adds so much more depth to the music making it profoundly more beautiful.
