@Jeff B I mean, theoretically? The quality would be as abysmal as hold music though, obviously. And the kind of combination they do seems questionable at best because that’s not how audio works, to put it simply. Higher frequencies require disproportionately more information, so you can’t just compress them like that.
@Jessie Blosser You could encode the music digitally and then send it over the land line using serial data. Only problem is that it would take 4x as long as the described process and it would only have a quality of 22khz instead of 41.
@Jessiedoggie Maybe. It was my idea but I'm not a sound expert. But what could work is digital audio via the phone. That would take long but it would be CD quality.
@@SquirrelMonkeyCom oh also, the frequency graph on the telephone part doesn't look right, the graph is usually frequency on the x axis and amplitude on the y axis, so when the video shows the frequency that was cut off it was actually cutting off the amplitude axis instead of frequency

While I wasn't alive in this era (meaning the ninety's), you gotta appreciate the hard work and genius that went into every aspect of computing. As a software developer, I'm always impressed by old-school programming. You had to fit complex logic into tiny storage sizes, on processing power less than a hundredth of what my Apple Watch has today, and in a bare bones language. These days you write your code in a high level language, and don't think much about optimising it.
Your content is criminally missed by the people at large :( But alas, I still hold hope that you and your collaborators find the success you all deserve for this level of artistry and authenticity. Tanx you all :)
