TC Gakki and Nico Nico rock for guitars in Tokyo.
That level of care and precision is Japan all over. It's a reflection on you as a person if you're sloppy, so everyone steps up. Love the place.

I was in Tokyo last year with my wife for our first year anniversary. One of the stops I had to make was an Ishibashi store. It wasn't the one in the video, but it was at this story mall and it was at the very top of the building. Kinda weird location for it, but it was suuuuper cool. Nearly impulse bought a Boss OD1 pedal there.....maybe next time, without the wife. ;)

I hope you can visit Ochanomizu while you're there! It's Tokyo's main neighborhood of music shops!!
If only my local guitar center had walls and walls filled with guitars like that, the one I go to doesn't even have any gibson explorers!!

I lost about 2 days of my Holidays in Japan in Guitar Stores. Thankfully there's always a ramen shop and a Starbucks around lol Preparing my 3rd visit next year and saving for gear lol

If I ever get the chance to visit Japan, I'm going to Ishibashi. Well, that and cat island.
Ishibashi I go to in Osaka is much less stellar this (they kinda yelled at me because I said I wanted to try out some Gibson guitar without really intending to buy one), so just make sure it's in Tokyo and such

Hey Fluff, I know you probably already left japan by now but next time you're in Tokyo, take the train to Ochanomizu and visit Meidai Dori which is known as Guitar Street. I've bought many a guitars there! I've never seen so many music stores in one location!
