Beautful Buick convertible-one of my childhood friend’s mom drove a Buick Wildcat hardtop (I think it was a ‘68) in metallic blue-it was a beautiful car and so smooth and comfortable going down the road-as a kid in grade school it was a striking memory and so different from the Plymouth Fury II my dad drove. Have never forgotten that car and can still picture it (both inside and out) in my mind.
I love the "Speed Limit Warning" indicator on the speedometer. A buzzer should go off when you reach the speed you set the indicator to. It should be yellow, the indicator. Nick, this is kinda rare, and COOL as hell if it works!!!!
You are correct! In 1967 the previous engine was updated to the 430 cu. in V8 and then replaced again in 1970 with the larger 455. It would seem either the originally engine was replaced or someone put the 455 decal on the air cleaner. Another reason to always check VIN number on the car and engine to see if they match.
I used to own one of these back in the day. Loved it. Remember sneaking a lot of my buddies into our local lake with that big ass trunk. Four bodies comfortable. Loved that car wasn’t a convertible though. 15K seems like a steal.
Ow yeah a 67 wildcat !!!! It's time to cruise Down the open highway !!!!! My Dad would only Drive a Buick, mainly LeSabre's ! So I guess you could say I was a Buick kid growing up !!!!! 💯🇺🇸🦅🗽⚔️
I've been told by a antique vehicle restorer if you can get anything 20° colder then ambient temperature your doing good. That's with original factory equipment though.
My first car , this is a true sleeper , it will beat almost anything on the road , it's a beast This one looks like it has a leak in the rear main seal. still a stunner
I love these big land yachts. That is one sweet Wildcat. I prefer a 66 but this one will do just fine. I'm a sucker for red cars and I love the convertible. Interior looks awesome car sounds great to. Might have an oil leak issue as there was oil underneath on the pan.
Nice boat. Luv the droptop. A 455, hmm? Engine (or air cleaner) swap probably. In '67 Buick replaced the 401 and 425 nail heads with 400 and 430 c.i. engines. The 455 debuted in '70 models. Earlier Buicks badged their engines with torque numbers rather than c.i. but in 67 the 400 produced 440 lb/ft and the 430 produced 465 lb/ft so that isn't what it's referring to. www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1967-69-buick-400-and-430 and www.buicks.net/shop/engine_ident.php
hey Nick, not sure if anybody mentioned it, but, the Wildcat does not have working brake lights~! none, nadda, zip, just thought you may want to take a look at it

Nice!
If you drive straight backwards and hit the brakes multiple times, it'll help even out the braking, adjust them to a certain extent.
What a blast from the past at a reasonable price !

Nice Old Cat Nick. She should have a 430 in her. The 455 came out in 1970. Love it..
Thats what i was thinking. i had a 67 Riviera....it had a 430.
Then again that just might be only an air cleaner from a 455.
Peppers 430.

If I had the credit , I'd buy it today ....but I'm a senior on a fixed income , all I can do is remember the old days
Imagine how nice it would be riding down the road in that , cranking some beach boys or Waylon Jennings .

Mom was born in 52 and she just told me this is the car she learned to drive in. Red convertable also
Old Buicks were notorious for having over-boosted brakes and power steering. That's how they were made.
Reminds me of the first car I learned to drive, a 63 Buick Electra 225. Even a bigger land yacht.
My first car was a 69 Wildcat. Just a rust bucket with a 430. I would love to own this one.

I had a 64 with 442 engine I believe red with white top awesome Nick southgate wyatt from nashville tn.
445?
Love the car looks a little wet underneath but still gorgeous
My dad had a wildcat back in the day
The battery may be weak causing the slow windows, sounded like the starter turned over a little slow also. Nice boat, and a great job as always Nick.
Thanks for the tips!
That’s a Buick 💥💥💥💥🔥⚡️⚡️⚡️
Try driving backwards and braking it will adjust the star adjuster for the drums
Probably needs some brake servicing though
Nice classic luxury land yacht for for under $20k be great summer driver even if bumpers could use chrome paint.
Very beautiful perfect looking car beautiful colour thanks Nick
I had a 66 with 54,000 miles when I was 19 years old...
