In politics, I fully supported the USA during the Cold War. 🇭🇺❤🇺🇲 Sad fact, my country, Hungary was forced to be communist and USSR supporter ☹ (1956 never forget!).

Some badly wanted us to save you guys in '56, but the risk of global nuclear holocaust made it just too dangerous (it truly is a miracle we were able to save South Korea without triggering it, considering the Soviets were just across the border of North Korea). May Stalin and Khrushchev among others face eternal judgment for their crimes on your nation and humanity more broadly.

Also, the USA did the right thing, when they landed on the Korean peninsula, because if they hadn't done that, then not just 25 million, but all the 75 million Korean citizens, the entire Korean nation would have been destroyed, tortured and isolated under the cold-blooded Kim-dynasty by now. There are some people, who call the USA as the antigonist bully and as the corrupt imperialist empire. But what I saw during the Cold War is, that the US influenced countries in Europe and Asia became free, democratic and rich, where the people's rights, opinion and their life on high living standards mattered the most. While the USSR influenced countries became opressed, poor, and the government's forced their people to endlessly support the insane and unreliable dreams of Marx, Engels and their communist utopia, and the people had to live in a global oppressive prison, without their basic human rights (travel, speech, etc.), in constant poverty and fear of being imprisoned, tortured and/or being killed (especially, if they were a minority in certain countries like the USSR). The USA was fought for the justice and freedom during the Cold War, while the USSR (with leaders like Stalin, Khrushchev and Brezhnev) was only interested in the brainwashing, oppressing and imprisoning of their own people and only on their power to rule all the world with the lies of communism and with their insane and horrible oppressive skills. At least Gorbachev realised all the problems and he peacefully freed and liberated all the Eastern European nations, which were suffered under communism, ending the Cold War. (Rest In Peace Gorbachev!)

It's probably because the Soviet Union got a reputation for incredible cruelty, foreign interventionism and corruption. You'll lose friends pretty quickly by forcing your will on others, supporting evil tyrants and stirring up devastating wars (Korea, etc.). Even modern Russia pales in comparison in numerous aspects. When even self-declared Communists start correctly denouncing you as corrupt and villainous (see Tito and Yugoslavia), you know your country has become a villain.
I love Russia but not really the Soviet Union which caused the persecutions of many people including the Christian community More or less of a neutral view on the US

Well it was always a tough choice for me, but I actually 😅 support the US. Even though I am feeling like a communist person sometimes. When I see the hammer and the sickle I feel so communist that I cannot believe I am socialist but then I recognize what it represents.
