Braaaand New Battery, Yes I'm so proud to show you guys!! Everything is there, everything is intact... Over there where the detached headlight is hanging out with pine straw next to the airbox as you say...IS WHERE THE 2nd BATTERY GOES??!! Dude, really!???
Nice job with the starter I just had a similar problem old starter died had truck towed to mechanic and $1,000 bucks later I had a new starter installed but I had the same sound like the sound you’re starter made ziinnggg! 😮 the mechanic explained that the old starter was staying engaged too long and it did some damage to the ring gear on the flex plate and he had to file the teeth to resolve the problem or pull the transmission and remove the torque converter and replace the flex plate and ring gear much more expensive process. I didn’t know you could shim the starter or that there’s three bolts. Kinda makes me wonder if they don’t know.
Thank you, yeah that third bolt can easily be missed. Its at the very top and you can not see it with the starter in. Can only fit a wrench on it as well, so very slow and wrist busting
@ I’m just busting your chops. I would keep it too if it was my dad’s truck. I wouldn’t sink too much money in it because of the rusted wind shield, but it’s a good farm truck.
It’s actually going to be a parts truck to help out 2 of my other projects , the 1990 f350 dually and the 1955 f100. Will be future videos on those swaps
@ If that was my dad’s truck, I would fix it. A body shop can fix the rust on the wind shield, the rest of the body panels can be replaced from junk yard trucks. I just went to a junk yard this week here in Austin, and they had enough body panels from totaled trucks, to fix your truck.
Nah it’s not like that with this truck, I traded an old boat to my dad for it, he knew my intentions with the truck when we made the trade. It was going to be a work truck for my landscaping business but we have since found the f350 dually with the 7.3 Idi that could use a power stroke swap. There’s videos on getting that one running as well. My focus is at the moment is the Cummins suburban swap, and maybe some quick videos after on the vette and scout before I circle back around and work on that swap

yep, the engine and everything it needs to run is there. Glad you enjoyed the video. Cant wait to tear it all down and put it all in its new home
I can hear that notorious Ford power steering over the 7.3 lol
yep, sounds like it may be low on fluid, or just plain worn out, 350k miles on that truck

I just did a will it run video on a F250 7.3 yesterday as well. Check it out. Good luck on your youtube channel
Thank you, I like how you used the shorts as a teaser on your channel. I might adopt that practice on my channel as well
@@DieseledDragon gotta learn from others and work together. I will follow you, and keep in touch.
How did a Texas truck get that rusty?
Southeast Texas, gets very very humid
How much did you pay for that $500 truck?
Why do you care? It’s not like I’m selling it
