I wasn't, but I frickin loved that music and I alway wanted to see this spikey machine thing on TV or in other games.

This is basically lazy that they use the same boss just a few changes
Well, if you are going to reuse a boss may as well have it be cool looking with a badass theme.
It's the same boss but getting harder every time with new mechanics and/or map.Might be lazy but good gamedesign honestly.
