Love these old TV spots.
Notes:
1. They didn’t interview John Lasseter, the director of the movie and Kelsey Grammer, the voice of Prospector
2. The “footage” at 14:10 wasn’t never-before-seen. They were Toy Story Treats. They were on ABC’s Saturday morning in 1996 and 1997
that was neat that disney animator ward kimball was a toy collector and he also appeared on tm books and videos i love toy trains hosted by jeff mcomas
Randy Newman initially felt that the song When She Loved Me was inappropriate, doubting that young children would be interested in it; he changed his mind after screen tests showed optimistic results. When She Loved Me has since earned a reputation as one of the saddest sequences in both Pixar and Disney films, as well as one of the saddest film songs ever written.
Toy story 2 was a very surprising hit like the first one was followed by the third and fourth one
Thank goodness someone else out there had a copy of this! I've also got a copy that i recorded back in 1999 but for.some reason the audio is very muted and has a loud buzzing sound when its turned up to be audible, not to mention the bit and pieces that were accidentally left out of mine from doing that stop recording at the start of.the commercial break and start at the end of the commercials nonsense i used to do, its too bad about the musical segments having been muted but i know the struggle with that content ID crud, regardless thanks for uploading this!
I have been looking for this for years! This is the one that had the Ward Kimball segment!
I remember seeing this back in ‘08 i think and have been searching for it since.

Unfortunately this is the only full episode I've found so far, but there are some extra promo clips in the commercial compilations.

So which parts of this Disney Channel Movie Surfers special of Toy Story 2 got claimed which you had to duck and mute?
Copyright.
21:23-22:34 Wait a minute. It got muted.
Yeah, the music got claimed so I had to duck it :(
Since you had to mute the part of ''When She Loved Me'' by Sarah MacLachlan and the end credits part too which I noticed, why is that?
UA-cam flagged them. It wasn't a creative decision by any means, I'm just trying to play nice with UA-cam's policies to keep the channel safe.
You Muted "When Somebody Loved Me." Christ, is UA-cam really THAT broken?
They really are, it's insane. Heaven forbid so much as a credit card commercial even THINK of using a snippet of "Dancing Queen" by ABBA. As a lot of critic channels can attest; they're more about implementing an overreaching algorithm than caring about "fair use". But, I just try not to step on any toes.
And since my format is more about archiving "abandoned" media that is unlikely to ever be profitable to the creators again, I kinda walk too thin of a line to chance fighting them :(
@@retrosydearchive UA-cam's Algorithm needs all the tune ups.
well that song is rather emotional
