So great to see a live, in-person Off-Nominal conversation. This podcast is totally underrated. Keep up the great work providing fun and interesting content.
Pretty good but 15:00 starship HLS won’t even be ready for Artemis 3 at this rate, it’ll be a gateway mission instead with starship backing up SLD for Artemis 4, which won’t be too long of a gap between Artemis 3. Starship won’t be flying crew for years later still even on LEO test flights As for starship lunar surface rideshare, the key thing to remember for HLS starship is it will always take a bunch of refuelings just to send anything to the moon, but once you’ve done those to account for the insane dry mass, payload capability starts to rack up quite quickly so it makes sense to co manifest payloads on HLS crew landing missions once per year, or for a flagship surface base payload that justifies its own mission
i watched the test launch on my computer, it was legit. way better than going down there, i'll see one of them later when there's more frequent flights/landings.

Sounds like with all the expected bartering of services in the moon program, we can start calling it Bartemis!🤣
32:37 LOL - Maybe grumpy, just a bit.
Is it quicker to teach astronauts to be a nascar pit crew or teach a nascar pit crew to be astronauts?
Armageddon anyone?
