Nice video, I grew up in St.Pete and now live north of it but still know every single place in that video. When passing by downtown St.Pete between I-175 and I-375 you should have been in the right lane and got a skyline shot! Gotta love the drivers though, we get all kinds. As for Howard Frankland it always backs up because it goes from 4 to 2 lanes each way because the Howard Frankland was originally a 4 lane bridge and now 8. They plan to add a lane but this maybe around 2012-2013.

Traffic on the east end of the Howard Frankland always backs up from about 6am until 10am and then from 2 or 3pm until 7 or 7:30pm. I-275 goes from four wide-open lanes down to two within about a half mile or so.
Nice concept on your video. I live in St. Pete and have driven this stretch a million times it seems. Next time I'll try to drive as fast as you sped your video up! :)

No, I have not ever been that way.
I have a very flexible, heavy tripod in the front seat and I have an AC adapter for the battery plugged in to the lighter so it can go all day if need be.

EXIT 16 WHEN YOU ARE CROSSING OVER IT, IT LOOKS SO SMALL.

It is supposed to remedy the backups, among other things. Problem is, we're growing by leaps and bounds (or at least we were, maybe growth is slowing) so whenever a project is finished it seems to be antiquated upon its opening. We'll see.

Will the construction on I-275 in Tampa remedy the bridge back-ups? Or is that too far from the bridge to make a difference.
