FYI, parking lots C, D & E use a shuttle to carry you to the house. There is no walking path from those lots.
Good to know! Thank you for sharing 😊
@@GenxGypsy1968I just responded to someone in another vid about Biltmore who said they as a disabled person had a bad experience there and were treated poorly by staff .
They didn't go into any detail but oddly enough someone confused me with them and had the nerve to say
' your tale differs from many . Your experience ; not theirs . '
... I have to assume the person saying that to me on a vid that if I recall correctly , was actually on the Biltmore Estate channel , represents Biltmore 😂 ... and rather than asking the person what their experience was and to maybe offer condolences or offering to help make sure it never happens to anyone again , they basically just want to gaslight disabled people who had a bad an experience there because they are in fact disabled with mobility problems .
It is a beautiful home filled with classic treasures. Monet, Renoirs, Chess table Napoleon’s heart was placed post-mortem, beautiful rooms, etc. Visiting at Christmas is a treat, as it is decorated beautifully. Back in the ‘80s, you were allowed to park on the driveway in front of the house. Of course, back then, it was not as well-known as it is today. From the outside the house looks huge, but from the inside, it looks bigger! Definetly worh the price!
If you have mobility issues you can drive up to the house and wait until someone in your party parks your car. They also have an elevator that an employee will accompany you in. The only restriction is that the elevator only goes to the second floor. Someone who cannot deal with stairs will miss seeing the basement and the 3rd floor.
Great overview & book recommendation! I never heard of that, thank you for the heads up. 100% support all the emphasis on timing & walking. Great advice! It's so accurate & longer to drive and walk around than most people imagine.
Glad I stumbled upon this. I'm going for the first time...solo...for a mid October fall trip. My house time is 10:30. Coming straight from the airport.
Back in Spring of 2016, we were able to board a shuttle, right off from our lot we parked in. I found there was no problem, being let off at the door, and returned back to our lot afterwards.
I loved this video, and all the tips you gave us! The Biltmore Mansion is truly an amazing place. On some days, I'll be going there to take pictures for my birthday, and I was wondering if the tickets to visit the "Garden and Grounds" at Biltmore also include visiting the porch of the front of the house (which is beside the entry)?
Very informative video. Thank you so much!
Going there soon. This was helpful thank you.
If you are going at Christmas, do the nighttime Candlelight Christmas and go on a Tues or Wed. But beware everything is way too expensive. You used to see more of the house for less money. If you think you will be going more than once in a year, get the season pass. It usually goes on sale in January. I used to have it but haven’t been in a few years. It is too crowded now and has lost the fun and serenity one used to feel going there. It’s sad.
Hello, thank you for the tips. You did not mention where to stay. We would like to come from Northern VA. Might as well stay a couple of days. Never been to the west side of NC. Love the east side, OBX. :)
Parking lots have shuttles, except for A.
WE FINDING TONY THE TIGER IN THIS ONE, IM TAKING THAT FRENZY AUTO!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️💯💯💯
I wanna see the leaves and Christmas 🎄
Love the user name 😂
How's the month of late June/ July to visit Biltmore? I am planning to visit this year. Also, do I have enough time to visit most of the things if I book 11 am slot?
Its a very nice house, great place to visit, tour but eat before you go, the food is pricey and not good! wine not great either
So what’s the ticket price?
Ticket prices change throughout the year. Best to go to their website to find the current prices 😊
If I’m staying at the Village hotel on the property do they shuttle me to the house?
I'm not sure, I did not stay at the Village Hotel. I would suggest checking their website or calling the hotel 😊
@@GenxGypsy1968 Please scroll up to the comment by Elaine Haynes ... not sure if I spelled it correctly but she said they do have some services for those with Mobility problems and that they will help you park your car and that they do have an elevator but that you cannot get to see the third floor and the basement floor .
The person I told you about who had a bad experience there probably didn't know any of this or maybe for whatever reason were not allowed to use the elevator that day ... ?
Lady on the Hill is a better book 📚
0:49 - That sign is an abomination. Sad. Tourism continues to ruin the city.
Are you okay?
@@youllbemytourniquet Definitely not. But, thanks for asking. I hope you are well, though.
