I have the Optimus 8R Hunter .. bought new in the latter '70's and still in use .. love it!
The 8R and the 123, the burner mechanisms are much of a muchness, so boil times should be similar .. the deciding factor possibly being insulation / isolation from cold and wind.
The Primus looks very much the same which is not surprising, considering their genealogy.
Three units well worth keeping, cleaning up and using for the next 50 years 😊.

Cheers, Thomas! You know, when it comes to our family adventures, the go-to stove we normally pack is the Coleman Feather 400b, but I'll still pack the 8R now and again for nostalgia's sake!

It's an older Sony action cam, the as200, I believe...shoots in 1080p at 60fps...someday I'll upgrade to 4k, but not today!
dood... you dont need 4k... 1080 is great for youtube...I have an old Sony x3000... same thing... the trick is to record in 1080p 60fps... but 'render' that in 4k so that UA-cam gives you better quality encoding... the camera you have is still used by top UA-camrs... the picture rocks... just go drink a few beer while rendering and uploading... also 4k sucks when mixing... I have a computer with 16 cores and 64GB ram... still slow when mixing 4k...@@Back40Bushcraft
