Some of the most successful guitarists off all time weren't really that good. Munky and Head from Korn are an example, probably the most wealthy and successful guitarists of all time playing power chords and using cool effects. Same with Linkin Park. Being good at guitar doesn't mean you write good, listenable songs (Ygnwie Malmsteen).

Olly is one of the only guitarists in the modern metal scene that can do the whole "Djent" thing and make it sound fresh. He has his own instantly recognisable style, his riffs are unique and flow together beautifully, and he writes genuinely good songs. He is, without a doubt, one of the best guitarists in the scene at the moment.
I agree. This subgenre of metal has gotten pretty stale over the last few years but he's always dropping tasty licks.
And he does it using drop D and C!

Playing this is much eaiser than composing. The main riffs look harder than it is.
That being said i would count these Solos as "intermediate" and playing to the metronome would be also a bit hard at the very beggining. Very groovy but easy to loose note here and there due how fast it goes sometimes.
I guess yeah, you guys are right, then again if u google "Intermediate Classical Guitar" u probably would find harder pieces than this.

It's literally just a visual element to watch along with the song. Like a music video. Never claimed this was live, I think most people realise what it is. Pretty common format.
