I can be very much a lady when I need/want to, but I love everything from grunt work to weeding a garden. My hands arent too good to work! No better than anyone elses even though they are small (Im a shorty, inly 5'2, my biggest 'grunt work ' problem is reaching things LOL) Great content Erin!

    At 21:10 This is a good way to twist your corner post around ! Always make sure the ties are centered on the back side of the post !!!!! These are all on one side. Not good !

      Are you a fence installer?

    • @user-tc3ou6sy5f
      @user-tc3ou6sy5f Місяць тому +1

      @@OurWyomingLife Im not a fence installer by profession.... but as an old farmer yes....of course When attaching wire be it barbed wire or woven wire always center the spices in the direction of pull. Otherwise when tightening the wire it can twist the post in the ground. If this is a post holding a gate......the hinges could end up where you dont want them. Its like pulling thread off of a thread spool......it turns when pulled on. Just logic.

    • @evelynmueller6523
      @evelynmueller6523 Місяць тому +1

      Are you familiar with the condition of the dirt they are digging into? Perhaps they needed the pole pounder to do the job? Or do you see it as soft ground that didn't need that application?

    • @user-tc3ou6sy5f
      @user-tc3ou6sy5f Місяць тому

      @@evelynmueller6523 Im a farmer.......familiar with many " ground " conditions. Some solid rock too ! But......using a skid loader does work....... Fill the bucket with dirt..... have someone hold the post off to one side and set the bucket on the post. A much easier way ?? Dig a small hole ( 4 inches deep ) Fill the hole with water. Its about " hydraulics " The water acts as a lubricant and also forces the dirt aside.... check it out with installing a basic ground rod. No pounding / hammering needed. ua-cam.com/video/ML9Ga_ud5fY/v-deo.html

Beards too ! Had a young lady get her hair wrapped up a PTO when she leaned over to turn it off. It scalped her ! Not a pretty sight ! Ranchers / farmer can and should wear a cap ! Both for hair and skin protection ! Fashion show ? Mike wore earrings.. was he into fashion ? Wearing rings on your fingers when working with equipment is also a serious hazard.
