Listening from the kayak after having just released a big (20”) smallmouth off a spinnerbait! 😊 Great catch, Jeff! And I agree when anglers start casually throwing out “5-pounder” it shows they don’t really know river smallmouth. And it’s amazing how many casual 18s become 20s on social media.
congrats on the money bass Jeff! and yes, I did pull a treble that day, I snatched on "one" cause we had both seen the video where Chad pulled on "two" :)
Been fishing the lower branch the past month or so, still getting action on topwater walkers, crankbaits have been my top producer the past few times out.
I am unemployed right now, so pulling down a few guide trips sounds ideal. But the insurance requirements and fees for an out of state guide mean that I will focus my efforts on other income sources. But if you want a paddling class, I can absolutely do that with you. I am an ACA level 3 certified paddling instructor for river kayak. Paddles, no rods.
@TheLittleStuff Paddling lessons would be very beneficial, especially in regards to fishing the Susquehanna River. I notice you have a motorized kayak. Will my Old Town PDL 120 be sufficient? I'm not looking to do tournaments but just want to make sure that my gear and I are prepared for what the river may throw at us.
I could only guess. I used to monitor it closely with electronics. Now I just fish and adjust my presentations based on success or failure with different speeds, depths, current features, etc.
I record every second I’m on the water. Once I turn the cameras on they stay on. I have external batteries attached and large enough sd cards that they record entire day. I mostly do it in the event something happens I have proof. If I’m accused of something I can show exactly what I did or didn’t do. I can show what was said if someone else is involved. I just think that it serves as protection.
Jeff. Really enjoyed your pre tournament strategy. Your years on the water paid off in this tournament. Thanks
Patience on that deadstick paid off!

Thanks for bringing us along Jeff. Congrats on the nice fish. Safe travels
Thanks John!
Enjoyed the journey Jeff and thanks for what you could film👍
It was sort of good to “just fish”.
I'm just now watching this congratulations man 🤙

ONE! 🪝 😂
Way to go! I haven’t been able to get anything power fishing the past week. Everything on jigs.
Best of luck finding new job. Take care Jeff.
Thanks on the well wishes.

good stuff
Do you do guided kayak trips in the Harrisburg, PA area? I've been doing really well bank fishing the past few years but want to take my kayak out.

Ouch, W.Branch river gage is currently at 0.28 ft! Even if you know where the "holes" are, you can't reach them unless you walk.
I did a lot of walking in the river over the past month.
Well ...I know where I'm going to fish on the river tomorrow lol
curious
as to what the water temp up that way is?

Where can I find the kuda 126?
Not sure. I use the Innovative Sportsman Peregrine.
I’ve always wondered why you didn’t do any tournaments especially with your skill set
