DNUTN is all about the story and truly touches on social subjects not for trending (Dunk, yes Fahad Mustafa, I'm looking at u 🙄). Hats off to Yumna, truly she's a very graceful actress. One thing I admire about Yumna is she focuses on her character more than looking pretty. So many actresses (cough cough Sara Khan and Maya Ali), focus more on looking pretty rather than their acting which is why Yumna gets the roles she does and other actresses get similar monotonous characters.

@@user-xu2ct9cq2y I think you didn't watch Sadoon aka Jimmy in Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi! We had Zebo in Udaari! Neeli Zinda Hai has that little girl playing a mute child who sees ghosts. Internationally too, The Florida Project was one movie where the little girl played the role of Moonie and nailed it in the last intense scene where she cries! Indeed children play themselves in many stories but there are also many stories where we see extraordinary talent and child prodigies who play complex characters in a story !
Also at one point she goes " samaj nai aa raha kya jawab du " and I felt like she slipped into Mahajabeen, just for a second. It was so cute and so honest.

Hassan i have a request to you. We as audience hear numerous times that drama isn't viable if it doesn't cross 30 episodes but raqeeb se ended on 23 episodes so i would ask you to pickup your phone and call maybe Kashif Nisar or Hum tv that whether they made profit or were they in loss? Or they barely made break even?

The only thing is that she is not hyped like others and the reason is that her PR work is not over the top. Definitely, she is THE BEST ACTRESS IN PAKISTAN right now and also for a past few years, been following her work since the very beginning. If you have watched her volume of work then you cannot compare her to anyone. Her earlier projects didn't receive such recognition or views but if you look at her acting alone, she has been top notch throughout.

Please don't underestimate Yasra's character in Dil Na umeed. Yumna is a great actress, no doubt but what if Sawera's character was not done by Yasra? Isn't she complementing Yumna's character? Please do justice people, don't get carried away!
No no Yasra is absolutely talented and phenomenal actress. Its about Yumna's fandom which is very very active. I have seen them commenting everywhere and asking SH team to review DNUTN repeatedly. Most top actors say they like to commit to 1 movie or drama at a time. I think its mind blowing that she can work on more than one project simultaneously and give brilliant performances.

Unpopular opinion yumna zaidi is better actresses and looks more beautiful in dramas than sajal. But yes sajal is more popular. But yumna style of character understanding in dramas is better than sajal.

Our current dramas like kam and ReB are glamorizing prostitution.These dramas show prostitutes living a normal and happy life unlike the reality shown in DNUTN.Prostitution is a form of slavery.Please discuss this false representation of the sex trade in current dramas in a haute bites session
Completely agree with you on that. I just wrote about that in a really detailed comment under the most recent Haute review. There are no poetic prostitutes or Rumi like sufis in this world. That era is long gone and this delusion to glorify them is beyond ridiculous.
@@salaamletstalk True! The disturbing aspect is that if the reality of prostitution is glossed over in the media, people will never try to help them or change their circumstances. They won't support women financially which will lead to the end of this menace. Also, in ReB, the prostitute was shown to be so strong and independent with characteristics that girls should aspire to have! So problematic!

Yumna’s journey has been very interesting and a testament to her strength as a person and her hard work. Because she doesn’t fit the current Pakistani heroine template, she more than made up for that with her hard work and incredible acting even small roles like ullu baraye farokht
The message below is referring to the incidents of harassment Amna mentioned at a school. I am posting some details to show how important it is to have a close bonding with our children ( both genders). The boy in question was junior to my daughter and thinking that he was in the same school with my daughter gave me the creeps. He has been accused of sexual harassment by 20+ girls AND BOYS, some were years younger and under the age of 18.
According to the victims, he would repeatedly pressure and emotionally blackmail girls into sending them revealing pictures and groped girls without their consent. He did the same with boys and in some cases went further and raped them. He would gaslight and threaten his victims so they wouldn’t speak up against him. He was fairly popular in school, a good debater and what he showed to the public was concern for social issues and philanthropy. He advocated for animal rights, visited impoverished communities and was very outspoken about issues like Kashmir and even rape, motorway incident.
He at first apologised for his actions through a message on a Whatsapp group, thanking students for speaking up and pledging to work to improve. Later he denied all incidents on his Instagram, urging people to focus on his philanthropy. His parents are very influential. The school Principal ( a Britisher) wants to expel him but the board of governors (Pakistanis) are reluctant. The family has left Pakistan to let things cool down.

I was hooked up with the interview tooo, Hassan! 😅 Not even missed a scene of it. Like, I binge watched DNUTN after eid. Phenomenal performance given by Yumna. She is courageous and versatile actress.
Wahaj too is doing great job by selecting his characters nowadays, even though if he has little screen presence, the character has an impact on whole story. His expressions are the heart of his portrayed characters.
They both act tooo well and real.
