I discovered Tokyo Grove about a year ago! To say I'm a fan is putting it lightly! Always makes my day when a new video comes on UA-cam. PEACE ✌️ PEACE ✌️
I fell in love with all of these girls the first time I watched them. They were performing Rise Up dressed up in their Kimonos with hair done up in traditional style, flowers in there. How lovely they looked. And when they started playing I was floored! OMG that was good. I still watch that one about once a week. It's a real masterpiece and the mix is excellent. And in this video it looks like Mimi has a new drum kit. She sounds better than ever. What a great drummer she is. I sure wish that I had been at this festival.
Sounds really good in the outdoor environment. But then, TGY always sounds good! I am happy to see there was a good sized group of music fans listening - it seems there is a strong audience in Taiwan for jazz.
This is what happens when you go to school at Tachibana HS and join the band....you get to lear n music and develop into world class musicians!....LOL!
Love these talented girls but someone seem to have almost muted the sound from Harumo in some songs? So sad as she is a real pro but guess it was the angle towards loudspeaker when recording?
