Yes,it can be used for a flight simulators. I have set my,and it is working just fine. I "google" it how to,and there is a nice explanation. I didn't do it from first try,but I make it work. Only problem was nobady explained that you have to set transmiter on your t6 config in ACRO mode to make it work as a simulator. This is very nice transmiter, cheap, and when you figure it out how it works,it become whole new world. Great transmiter for prize.
It works!!!!!!!!! THANKS theleetbeagle! Got the right sequence to connect the ESC to the motor for RX control. My problem was i powered up the RX first then the TX; wrong! Corrected i now hear the familiar sequence of beeps i'm use to. One long beep, followed by 3 short beeps then one last long beep. And thottle stick is UP, then DOWN and then flip thottle cut switch down to fly. Once again thanks for all you help! Take care. James
This unit will safely run at full TX (green/yellow led indicated) for 8 hours. It will then run for another 20 minutes on RED led indicated. THIS IS HAS BEEN TESTED USING cheap 8 x 1000mah/1200millivolts (8 x 1.2 volt) Ni-MH cells. With alkalines??? = wow! Just finished my tests last nite, very impressed. Cheers.
If I think about my Futaba FC 18 I bought years ago second hand for 700$... This price here is really impressive, I ordered one a few days ago, looking forward to check it out. Thanks for the Video....
hi, thanks for your help its really appreciated, I contacted the ppl who sold me this esc and they said it does not have bec on it, so I went ahead and connected the receiver to an external battery and as you told me the esc to channel 3 and it worked, but b4 that I ordered a new esc from ebay so now I will have 2 esc. because I was new for these things I thought i will never get it to work, its really simple, if it wasnt for your help i would have never got it to work, thanks again. peace
No, it will give the ESC a receiver off signal. The motor will stop, but the servos will not center. The servos will just stay. If you were in the middle of rolling, the motor would cut out, and it would keep rolling right to the ground.
Found it on Ebay-AU, from Hong Kong: 2.4G FS-CT6B 6CH Heli/Airplane/Glid RM176 Very low power consumption High receiving sensitivity 8 model memory, digital control Can be programmed by PC with included software Full range 2.4GHz 6-channel radio 4-Model Memory 4 Type (Airplane, Heli90, Heli120, Heli140) Integrated timer Contrast Adjustment Throttle cut Weight 575g 180x220x70mm Transmitter, Receiver, USB Cable, Software CD $AUD 21 + $AUD 20 post
I have an old futuba 4 channel fm that completely cut out while I was flying about 60 metres away from it. Luckily the model was fine. I am looking to upgrade. How good is the range on this for such a cheap tx and rx?
@theleetbeagle hey, thanks a lot! I appreciate it :) I'm looking around and most specs don't specify on this. I'll keep looking it up, but thanks again. Still probably getting this transmitter with a patched antenna! xD
@theleetbeagle thanks so much, you have no idea how much you helped a newbie like me lol. so yeah, i would probably plugged em in straight and fried the rx. however, can i still connect both ESCs to the same battery?
@anandpsbb hold on i just understood what you were saying before. so you are saying, the battery hooked to the ESC's also powers the receiver? we are using a 11.1V battery, so could that possibly fry the receiver or did you mean that ESC itself makes the battery safe for the receiver? for some reason i feel uneasy hooking two ESCs to the same battery, and then hooking both those to the same receiver lol, i will let you know that goes. you can ignore the previous comment i guess, but thanks :D
@theleetbeagle I'll probably buy the system anyway, I was just curious if it had a buddy box system capability before I sell off my old radios/planes. I just might keep a couple of them for training my son and his friends. I've only flown .40 size nitro, but moved too far away from my old flying club to keep up with it. Now that I've recently discovered the affordable options with NitroPlanes, I'm seriously considering brushless electric so that I can fly in the school yard around the corner ;)
Hi just found your review on the FS-CT6B, ( sorry for delay only just found it lmao ) ive just picked one up and i paid around 40 pounds ( im in UK ) overall really happy and seems to do thhe job just fine. Also as being new to the hobby it does what it says on the tin. I would recomend for the price and even as a back up unit. plus having PC support is really useful im going to find some software for it and see how it gets on. ( side note be great if could link it up to my Oculus 2 lol ) Enjoyed and found you video heplful. Cheers dude Peace out From me ( DAZ Lol ) and my dog Max on the East coast of lincs UK 🙂
Great review, but I am a little confused about the trainer port. I understand that it can be used to hook up to a PC to be used as a simulator, but I was wondering if you tried to hook it up with another Tx so that you could use it as a buddy box for instructing pilots? It looks like the connector is the same as the buddy cord for Airtronics radios?
You gt mode 1 than! Mode 2 is used in the United States. Mode 1 is used in Australia and Europe. When you buy it, and it has the drop down menu, you must choose Mode 2.
Hey thanks for the quick reply! Hmm? The ESC and motor is working i confirmed this by using the orginal Dynam RX and TX. I was wondering if you are using the orginal Dynam motor and ESC??? My Dynam ESC is blue, 18A, 5-12 NC/2-4 LIXX and the motor is1300KV, with a shiny blue mount. Ok, tonight i'll try different UP and DOWN throttle combinations again to initialize the motor with the ESC... Now Is there any special settings for throttle setting in the software? Endpoints? R or N? Agn Tnx!
@theleetbeagle thanks for replying. i am building a land vehicle with differential drive. the left wheel has its own brushless and ESC, and the right wheel has its own. i want to hook each motor to one control stick so i can move them independently. i am going to run both ESC's off the same battery by parallel connection. i just want to know what battery the receiver unit will need. thanks!
I had this remote for longtime it was my first never let me down I have devo 12 fpv transmitter I payed 399 but when flying my tek sumo wing works awesome
Great review! I'll probably get this I have a question though, how does one determine the range of these transmitters? I understand that it can fluctuate a lot, but most of the time, it's not specified. It's the difference between 200m and 2000m.
great video, not sure why do we need to know the weight if different batteries weight diferent. Do you happen to know what is the signal range for using a glow engine airplane .40 size? Thanx
@theleetbeagle i see. i feel slightly nervous about running two ESC's off the same battery, and then hooking both ESC's back to the same receiver. various places say to cut the red wire, but is it actually an issue if i hook up both ESC's with the BEC's running fine? the bec on the ESCs is rated at 5V
@theleetbeagle i see... is there any reason we shouldnt let the BL motors run on parallel? i was thinking one 11.1V battery for both the motors, and then a smaller battery for the receiver. since the individual ESC's handle the brushless on each side, will this arrangement work? we might use two or three additional servos as well on different channels of the transmitter. how would that work?
@anandpsbb I just wish that illinois allowed 2.4 it is so much better and cheaper. Our team actually does robot ramble. Actually there was only one invitational that had the sumo bots at all this year. It was really cool and everyone gathered around. We could have won if we entered our jv robot ramble.(an rc car from several years ago with a wooden plow attached to it). everyone had wedges. all you have to do is drive over them when they come at you and then full speed reverse on there flat side
I've ordered two of the Hobby King versions of this remote, but I'm dying to know what the switches are for. When I receive it, do I need the cable, or are all the channels active? I am building a manipulator arm, and want to control 6 axis, and then have some ON OFF switches. When you receive the remote, what is the default? I am hoping: "Two joysticks = 4 proportional, and 2 switches = two on off channels" Hope you can help me, I know HK is a different name, but it is flysky inside of it
Hey I'm thinking of getting but I have a question so you have your rudder on the right stick did it come like that or did you set it. I am use to mode 2 which has rudder int the left stick with the throttle. So did you change that with T6config or did it come liek that thanks
@anandpsbb Yes it is for science olympiad. I am probably buying this for my robot. I am going to make a good robot over the summer and possibly use it during scio. I want to put an arduino microcontroller on it and make it do the event all by itself. It will take a while but it will be a fun project (for me) over the summer. Are you in illinois? Were you at the layola invitational yesterday? If so what team?
@nerdyrcdriver well its a really long time for me to reply to this, but we ended up getting the controller after all and its pretty sweet. 3rd place in the state for sumo bots haha it worked well.
ok please help if i use it on a car what channels do i put them to as 1-3 but the steering is very limited also where is the simuator on the disc ? im trying to learn to fly with the sim
hey ive got a beginner volitation electric heli from the local hobby store here. its no pro long range flyer but im wondering if this is whats needed to extend the range on it?
@theleetbeagle yep my lipo battery does not go on the receiber? i see it says 6ch and bat=battery no? because the other plug connect from the battery to the engines and the one with 4 pins i can use it for charge the battery but it doesnt fit the receiber =\ or the battery should just connect to the engines ?
Hi! I have this transmitter and I like it a lot. but, when I connect the transmitter to the pc and open the software. Nothing happens! i also tried to change setting but I only have one option... Please help meeee!!

I can't believe they make a mistake like that. what can I do now,is there any way of fixing it? By the way, great video. Best regards
Have a problem, dont know where to go, so i'm coming to you. I got the Flysky CCT6B Tx and Rx. 1. I bound the Tx and Rx. Power to Rx is from a 9V DC battery through a IC 7806 - for 6V out. 2. After bound, the servo worked fine, (Ch1, Left and Right Control Stick). Turned 30 degree one side, back to center and turned 30 to other. 3. During my second approach, i added another servo (metal Geared), when switched on both started jittering. Dont know why. 4. So, i removed it and tried with one servo, again the same jittering at the moment power is on to Rx, and continuous the jitter. I dont understand what to do. Any problem with the connection. Plz do help me if you can.
Hi Great video, I just purchased this for my EDF jet! but i do have a lifeless P-51D mustang at home with no working transmitter or receiver and I want it to work with this transmitter do you have any video on how to add/bind the second receiver which I will soony buy for my P51D Mustang. thanks god work
Nice vid and transmitter. But i got a problem with my transmitter. My transmitter won't change the settings anymore. If i make any changes on the mixing for delta, my sticks don't change. I also can't load one of my safed settings anymore. This is verry frustrating because its only possible to fly just 1 plane instead of 5 Please help my
hi! i am considering getting this transmiter, and i intend to hook up two brushless motor esc's, different channels. how would i hook up a battery to this/ what battery do you recommend? is this receiver ok for building a land-based vehicle? thanks!
I have this transmitter and receiver. I recently broke the receiver in a crash and purchased the exact same receiver that i had previously and you have in the video. After plugging everything in like normal the transmitter just wont link with the receiver. Any suggestions? Thanks :)
Baught it... one question, how is the idle up? im not to sure because im used to alot of switches and 1 knob but this has two. is that going to effect my new 450 3D heli??
hey is normal that the left stick feel lose when you move it? the right one feels kinda the ps3 controller stick...and if you push it down it goes to the center by itsel but the left one doesnt do you think its faulty?
Just bought one of this and I was amassed that I was able to make it work with my f27 Stryker. do you know if you could have three transmitters and one radio with vainding them in every time, basically to be able to fly three plane with the same transmitter, because im thinking to buy two more recevers.
I noticed in the picture that the box shows both 2.4 ghz and FM. Can I buy an fm attachment for this so it isnt 2.4 ghz? (I want to use it for a robot event that doesnt allow 2.4 bc the rules are old. All of the other states allow 2.4 but illinois doesnt. I am trying to get the rules changed.) We had to buy a $130 vex robotics controller that still has interference. I will buy this either way for my personal robot.
hi man ! the tx/rx is out of stock.i found it on ebay but when i asked for the range they respond me that its not more than 200 meters.what is the differences. any ideas?
Plz tell me my transmiter FS-CT6B two channels are not working, when i purchace it is working but now when i connected it to my laptop two upper one channels are not working, plz tell me what is happen to it?
Old comment and I'm a noob so forgive me.. but would not the failsafe be built into the flight controller of the actual aircraft? If you lose signal, how is something in the transmitter going to help?
Is this compatible with a 3-4 channel transmitter? If so, where can I get one? I need it for a very small electric plane (gravity classic war bird) Please help!
@theleetbeagle hi there i need to make a rc monster truck with the sterring and spped and 2 servos andthe rest for a salter and another for led would it work thanks
Im not sure if you could help me, but my elevator channel will not work anymore, it did work but then one day it didn't, Checked all the wires and circuit bord inside, its all ok so im not sure would you know of anything causing this
@nerdyrcdriver that is sweet lol. no i am a cocaptain of an ohio team, and i am doing sumo bots for our team as well. i really liked this controller and would like to use it since we got thrashed using vex
Q: What does the Mixing functions do on channel 4? In the setup ...channel 4 is mixed with itself. The up rate and down rate is set at 100%. Is this the gain for the Rx? I mean if you have tail wag...is this were you can fix ...other than the...gain switch on the Gyro itself? I would appreciate any help with this .....And what should I adjust if this is the gain...the Up or the Down?......again your help would be appreciated.....THANKS

Hi, thanks for the review very help-for, what sort of range is this transmitter hitting?
Does this Tx have a safety or "ARM" switch for the motor?
@ChadWork1 How is this Tx/Rx working for the Drone? I'm planing to buy the same one to set my Ar Drone RC up. Do you recomend it? hanks in advance.
Very informative.Thank you very much. Well explained. I have one question. Do you know how to set up the V-tail function? Thanks for any help. :)

I could make a standalone device which would load and store configs, maybe even edit them. I wonder, would there be interest?
Could the knobs be used to control the pitch of a gimbal? Please answer quickly
Yes, but if you're using a using a flight controller, you have to code it accordingly.
I've ordered two of the Hobby King versions of this remote, but I'm dying to know what the switches are for. When I receive it, do I need the cable, or are all the channels active? Hey I'm thinking of getting but I have a question so you have your rudder on the right stick did it come like that or did you set it. I am use to mode 2 which has rudder int the left stick with the throttle. So did you change that with T6config or did it come liek that thanks

Im gettin a 1450mm p51 that needs a 6ch radio receiver, do u think this will do alright, Good video by the way. it is very detailed
@solobender NO YOU CAN'T! Dont waste your money and try it. DSSS and FHSS don't bind plus spektrums DSM2 technology is its own language.

I think that it is the truth about opposite polarity of battery charger. I am having problems whit my transmitter, and I have use it whit battery charger, because when reciever came,I was lazy to go out and buy batteries and couldn't wait to try it on,so I used battery charger on it. I can't believe they make a mistake like that. what can I do now,is there any way of fixing it? By the way, great video. Best regards

really??
Nice vid and transmitter. But i got a problem with my transmitter. My transmitter won't change the settings anymore. If i make any changes on the mixing for delta, my sticks don't change. I also can't load one of my safed settings anymore. This is verry frustrating because its only possible to fly just 1 plane instead of 5
Please help my
I have this transmitter but it will not let me save the settings or even reverse anything. Any idea what happening? Please help
hi! i am considering getting this transmiter, and i intend to hook up two brushless motor esc's, different channels. how would i hook up a battery to this/ what battery do you recommend? is this receiver ok for building a land-based vehicle?

What channels are the toggle switches?
That depends on how you set it in the settings. You can make them any channel or have them mix with another channel.
Can I control two motors independently with this?
Can I run two low power motors together and a third by itself?
Hi
Can I power the receiver with a battery box and 3 AA's (4.5V) thanks for the review
Thanks for help!! I figured it out at the end 3months XD
would 1.2 volt batteries do the job?
Hi, I know its been nine years since you uploaded this but how do I use or set the built in Timer? Please?
did i hear the throttle stick clicking when you moved it?
is there anything like this for land vehicles? not a fan of pistol grip transmitters.
@theleetbeagle
Thanks alot, that takes alot off my shoulders and im glad its so cheap
@andyjabben
i Know i should wait until i get the plane, but do u know wut would run the wheel retracts
Do you plug the servos directly into the 9 volt receiver pack.
I just bought a AR Drone 2.0 and wanted to use RC controler for it. Can FlySky be used to control the AR Drone 2.0? Tnx!
Why does the throttle stick vibrates when moved.

Could you use use this TX with Fligh Sims? Would you need to buy a trainer cable?
I noticed in the picture that the box shows both 2.4 ghz and FM. Can I buy an fm attachment for this so it isnt 2.4 ghz? (I want to use it for a robot event that doesnt allow 2.4 bc the rules are old. All of the other states allow 2.4 but illinois doesnt. I am trying to get the rules changed.) We had to buy a $130 vex robotics controller that still has interference. I will buy this either way for my personal robot.
hi man ! the tx/rx is out of stock.i found it on ebay but when i asked for the range they respond me that its not more than 200 meters.what is the differences. any ideas?

I fly fpv with this tx but within 500m it does not have a failsafe and your craft will keep going if signal is lost.

I would appreciate any help with this .....And what should I adjust if this is the gain...the Up or the Down?......again your help would be appreciated.....THANKS
thinks that assigned buttons to switch/also assigned to 4.. try turn the switches off/ or change there setting in the config
oi amigo , tenho um fly sky de 6 canais , esta configurado para helimodelo e agora quero configurar para aero. tem como vc me ensinar?
what voltage for the receiver or speed controllers
yes u can, but have to bind to the reciver.
how can I bind?
+graham chambers The manual to the Transmitter will tell you how to bind it, or get hobbytown to help you
It sounds like you have your mixes set up wrong.
Is it a 60 60 60? or 90? What is your swash config?
