i miss Luang Prabang a lot! flown 5 times a year pre pandemic. super chilled small city. hospitable people. anyway great and informative video u got here. would want to try it someday by boat and bottles of lao beer!
Thanks. That's a good flight deal. Although you're missing out on some beautiful scenery and interesting experiences by flying. Regardless Luang Prabang is a cool place.
The best video for I was looking for. Could you say the name of the places where you slept in Chiang Rai and in Pak Beng? I just want to be sure to be close enough to the bus/boat to continue the trip the next day. Thanks a lot.
Thanks Karina. I don't know the name's of the hotels I stayed at off the top of my head in those 2 places, but you will not have a problem finding a place to sleep in both those cities that are close to the bus/boat station. In Chiang Rai there are a ton of hotels within sight of where the bus drops you off. With regards to Pak Beng there's only one main road (it's a really small town) and many hotels to choose from within a couple minute walk. As soon as you get off the bus/boat in both places you will see hotels in front of you. Really easy.
@@ChrisOrrFilm I've been in Chiangmai last 2018 during the lantern festivals and I plan also that way but it's too long so I'm opted to return to Bangkok and get a flight to luang prabang, I love the adventure and sightseeing along the way, so I might try next time your journey...😍
Oh yeah, sorry. I'm sure I mispronounced many names in this video. It's hard because I'll ask some one and they'll tell me how something is pronounced so I'll go off that, only to find out later that they were wrong and it's actually pronounced a different way! Very confusing.
Dude! Lifesaver, thanks so much! no other video gives such detailed yet simple and important information.

Probably the most uncomfortable 48 hours of my life. I’ve done it and let me tell you, next time I’d fly.
Great info, thanks a lot.. we are planning to do this trip soon, this will help :)
Nice video! We found a flight from chiang mai to Luang Prabang for $115 USD including 20kg bag. May be a better option in future!

65 Baht versus 100 Baht? You mean 650 Baht and 1000 Baht. Otherwise, you are talking about $2 dollars versus $3 dollars. Just saying
Huay Xai pronounced "Sai" not "Soy"
Minor detail 😏
