At the moment I feel the same way about “Cherry Magic”. I love the Japanese version, but was also incredibly curious to see how the Thais do it. Unfortunately it doesn't work at all for me. Yes, sometimes it's actually because of the money, but as far as I know, "A breeze of love" wasn't made with a lot of financial effort too, but still: simply perfect. 😍 Often, especially in BL, it's the cast. It can almost save an entire series. And here, for me, lies one of the failures of Cherry Magic (Thai-version). Already the lack of height difference between the protagonists and their appearance. In the Thai version, they both seem more like two students trying to act grown up. For me, that doesn't create any pull that could explain the alleged attraction. By the way, I hope I don't stop you from creating great new content. 🤣
Hope this show gives justice for the first one. Don’t get me wrong I loved the first one, but the show wasn’t really about the Main couple it was more about the second couple.
Don’t quote me on this but I think that half way through the Thai series they shifted the perspective since it was being shot right before Covid happened. So they had already shot the scenes for the 2nd couple and ended up using more with them since they couldn’t get together cuz of the lockdown. I read it somewhere on UA-cam and don’t know if it’s true but it’s what made since to me.
