Maybe work on adjusting your subscription options as well as what’s offered without a subscription as a start? The device is essentially a paperweight without a subscription. Why not have monthly, 6 monthly or yearly options even as a bare minimum? Extremely predatory subscription model.
Man I would love to try the Rapsodo MLM2PRO and see how my game improves. I’m on my way of piling up some money to have the chance to buy it. Thanks for the amazing review.
Been w/ Mevo+ since introduction and still don't see why I'd change. (I use it in a permanent sim setup so no setup issues) Flightscope PC Software has improved radically and will help bring your game to the next level as it's more professional than more toy-like offerings like R10. And more importantly: no subs.. E6 is old crap. that's why they are giving it away. It's a nice way to start but take it from somebody who paid for it for a 2 years: just get GSPro... 1000 courses for free and they are getting pretty damn impressive..
I'll chime in that the only issue I have with the MLM2Pro is the disconnects though I'll admit I don't have the best wifi strength. Other than that I don't think you can find a better value out there. I did have an issue with the power button not working (seemed like the spring behind it moved). The sent me a replacement with virtually no questions asked with another year of membership with it. Overall bang for my buck I'm very happy
Enjoy the reviews. MLMPro would be impressive for the price except for the horrible connection issues. I just returned the MLM2pro because it would not stay connected for more than 5-7 shots, even with updated firmware. Wifi was better than cellular, but not by much. Disappointing because I would have loved it if it would have stayed connected, but having to turn off and reboot every 3-4 minutes was not worth that kind of money.
@@Busdriver1215 you receive 5 free E6 courses indefinitely with the only exception being you hold a MLM2PRO subscription. Free courses include: Aviara Belfry Sanctuary Stone Canyon Wade Hampton
Thanks for the great review, I was thinking about picking up one of these units up around Black Friday my only concern is they have both been out for some time now and would I benefit from waiting for the next model of either of these units? And is there any word on when that might be?
I currently use the R10 and I love it for the weekly tournaments on HTH. I am looking to upgrade this coming year and the Mevo+ is leading the pack, for me. Does the Mevo+ have any kind of simulator package built in that you can do weekly virtual tournaments, similar to HTH, or do you need to purchase a 3rd party sim program like GSPro for that kind of experience? Love your content. Keep up the great work!
Mevo+ works without additional subscriptions, other than paying to fully unlock features once. No cost for gs pro functionality beyond the gs pro sub itself.
You could use the free E6 but I'd personally get GSPro... 1000s of courses and their own league... Online play with my friends is much more solid than E6 ever was too.
Yes, the Mevo+ has a shot tracer. It's also the only launch monitor that I know of that will add a shot tracer to your video feed in real-time. So you can record video of your swing and get an accurate shot tracer recorded into the clip - its pretty cool.
@breakingeighty with the Skytrack now on sale for under $1k how does that change things? I’m in no rush and was planning on going with the MLM2PRO when ready but the Skytrack sale has thrown another variable into the mix.
I can't stand my Rapsodo MLM2PRO and have stopped using it. It was constantly disconnecting from my iOS devices (iPhone 12 and iPad Air). I would have to restart the app on my device and reconnect. I'd hit a few shots and then it would stop detecting ball flight and freeze again, requiring a reset and reconnection. I've never had a range session where it didn't disconnect and forced me to reset.
It really depends on what you're looking for, how much space you have, how you're going to use it etc. I lean towards the Mevo Plus personally, but if I were doing a more permanent at home simulator setup, I'd probably go with the SkyTrak as their new 5.0 update to their PC software is a really solid experience.
@breakingeighty yes I'm actually in between the mlm2pro, skytrak but this video has me thinking of the Mevo+. I'm building a backyard cage set up w a potential of a outdoor projector so metrics and graphics will most def be in play. Thank you!
I want more information on what you consider outdoors? When you use it on the outdoor driving range, the distance provided is very accurate, and the shot shape tracker is extremely useful for seeing the ball's flight. I couldn't care less about the spin data for range balls.
I just cant support the rapsodo business practice of charging 25% + year on year just to make hardware work. I use GSpro I just want a launch monitor that will keep working. I also pop about one ball a month in my sim at the moment so that adds up too. It isn’t cheaper all things considered
You can use the MLM2 Pro for seven years before you pay sale price of of the Mevo+. I'm not sure what the cost of GS Pro is but technology is obsolete in about 3 years. Why pre-pay?
You understand that GSPro relies on the launch monitor to provide a great user experience. The manufacturers of the launch monitors are aware of this and know that you will have to pay the price to use third-party apps.
Thanks for the review and feedback! The MLM2PRO is constantly improving with software updates to enhance the experience; more to come soon!

Mine keeps disconnecting and is showing inaccurate side spin. I'm almost ready to throw it in the garbage
Lower subscription fees and add club path data
Yes, please add club path and angle of attack and I'll happily continue paying the subscription.

Can you do a review on the Square launch monitor?
THIS!
Yeah... That looks also so interesting. Unfortunately it does not connect yet to Gs pro

I have great wifi and mine disconnected often on both cellular and wifi, even with ipad or phone sitting right next to it.
Love the channel… Please more Golf Simulator content! From launch monitors, hitting screens, mats, to projectors Great stuff
Omg I’m making my sim now and trying to pick between these two! Thank you!
So what did you pick and are you happy?
@ the Rapsodo has been amazing!

Does the mevo have a combine feature?
Now that Rapsodo is offering a $400 lifetime subscription what’s your take on value? $700 spread between it and the Mevo+ makes it more interesting.
Can you review the new Square Golf Launch monitor vs the Rapsodo?

Would love to see this but Mevo Plus vs Bushnell Launch Pro!
Brooo WHERE is your Uneekor Eye Mini Lite video??? I wont buy it till you make one.
For features, I think the Rapsodo comes with an integrated shot tracer. Does the Mevo+ have that, or the ability to add it?

Is rapsodo still more accurate at spin with rct balls?
The rapsodo balls are the only balls that will provide spin. Spin with the Rapsodo balls are very accurate. RCT balls do not work with the Rapsodo.
Hmmm, I’d say mlm2pro is more accurate with the rpt balls…mevo plus can’t read fear effect shots
No comparison here. Mevo+ is a real pro level launch Monitor. MLM2 isn’t that. Outdoor accuracy is poor with MLM2.

Saying mevo+ has no subscription is misleading. They charge like 1500 more data that should come with it
