Absolutely fantastic Tim and Mandy. You know and I know what a fantastic place that is . What more can I say . We had 4 days Wildcamping out there. Absolutely great. Great vid you two 👍🏴⛺️
I think of you when we go there Alan, Elgol is for some of us love at first sight lol. One day I really hope to do what you do there mate. Will need some advice off you first though :) Tim/Mandy
savedpurplecat no bother Tim my friend I’m no expert but just a wild camper who loves Scotland and Skye. Going too the gormes in May this year for 10 days can’t wait for that . Never been before but looks fantastic. One day I’ll bump in to you tow up there and we will have a great bit of crack . You take care of yourself mind and I’ll see you two on the trail. Cheers Alan
An absolutely fantastic looking place very very photogenic and you took some fantastic photos. It looks so easy to take a quality picture but I know different. 🍺🍷🐕🐾🐾🐶👍
Hi Sinclair Elgol reminds me a little bit of the sea of glass before the throne in Revelation 4, the mountains being so mighty and majestic they almost look throne like. Hope your doing well my brother love to Julie :)))) Tim/Mandy
Guess what it did when I went to Elgol? 😝 that view over to the cuillins though. Well worth a soaking. Stunning photos you took there too. I definitely plan to go back. See it like that. Hoping this is 1 of a series?! Great to see you back out and in the paradise. Hope you’re both doing well. Atb.
Ive seen some of the crazy things you get unto Andy lol (Respect 😁) I think you could spend a week there easily, so many accessible mountains from the boat, wildccamping near the bothy, I think its a case of doing it before it becomes another crazy Mecca on Skye. Anyway thanks so much for dropping by its a real encouragement :) Tim/Mandy
HI Tim And Mandy, This is the first time i have posted but after watching the vlogs you have produced i was moved to comment on the stunning video and photography you produce in these vlogs. I think the Scottish tourist board should be sponsoring you lol. Switzerland looks amazing and i see you have a passion for Scotland i think the vlog you done on the N C 500 was a work of art . As a Scotsman staying near Stirling i am so inspired to visit many of the places you have shown i have decided to buy a motorhome within the next few months. Thank you both for your amazing vlogs and keep them coming. Alan, one of your grateful subscribers .
Hi Alan I showed Mandy your comments and she was as blown away as me, that means a lot to us. The single best thing we ever did (Hobby wise) was to buy a camper van, its a unique way of living in a location for a short time, that makes you feel, just for that moment that you are actually living there! We have tried to get away at least once a week now for the last couple of years, even if its only to do a short walk somewhere and come home, it has been the perfect way to "Get away from it all" We pray you will discover this wonderfully unique way of living particularly in Scotland, .going to Switzerland last year only emphasised to us both how awesome the west coast of Scotland is. As a kid we went to fife in Scotland every year to visit our uncle and I always asked what Ben Nevis the mountain was like, when Mandy and I got Married we decided to have our honeymoon over there and have been going ever since. Simply put my friend you live in a beautiful place :) Tim/Mandy
savedpurplecat Thank you both for the reply , I simply can’t wait to get out there with my wife and 2 dogs so I have hired a Motorhome for a week in May. I will wait till I have my own van before trying the west coast 500 .Again I thank you for the inspiration to do this. Alan
I love the sound of the pipes and was that Eilean Donan castle at the start? Looked like it and we stopped off there a few years back on the way to Skye and what an awesome place it was. What a dramatic shot at 3.22, stunning views and I did not realise at first this was April, so you got some great weather. Loved the setting sun at 8.49 and those streaks looked immense, a dam fine trip, topped of by some cracking shots at the end, cheers Alan
Thanks for your lovely comments Alan, this was filmed over ;last four years, not getting out too much at the moment so I thought id upload some unused footage, Elgol is very special if you can get there out of season, in peak season it can be very frustrating these days. thanks :) Tim/Mandy
My goodness Tim that's some kind of view across the water there. As beautiful as them dogs mate. Wonderful shots captured. All the best for the weekend. Mark
Thanks Mark, its a special place, lovely gentle walks across the cliffs and of course the glorious pinnacles of the cullins across the water. For me personally its a place of meditation and reflection too mate. This footage is stuff I never uploaded, just thought I would upload some material whilst I'm in and out of hospital. :) Tim/Mandy
I'm glad you did upload Tim. I can see how it invokes that meditation. I really do hope you're getting on well with treatment. Love and light to you....
Tim. Absolutely beautiful video. I’ve always loved watching your videos. I feel like you and Mark from Wye Explorer are two of my favorite storytellers. You guys always create the best messages in your videos. Thanks for sharing this
Superb filming and photos Tim. You should sell them to the Skye tourist office. We were up in Assynt last April and the weather was glorious off again this year with the adult kids. Tackle Sullivan again. Keep up the good work one of the beat youtubbers out there. Great breakfast by the way.
Thanks Markus you have encouraged us both, Sullivan has a real "pull" doesn't it, hope you have a fantastic time buddy, something very special about that area. We are so blessed to have this beauty on our Islands :) Tim/Mandy
We were there last November in our van, but didn't stay overnight because of the signs. Absolutely stunning place and your video has made us want to be back there now! Was this vid all from the same visit? Noticed the bongo van and thought it was yours?
Hi thanks for your comments, yes if you go out of season they don't mind you stopping over at all. This was a film of our three visits one was in the Bongo, such a special place I think you could spend a week there exploring the Cullens too :) Tim/Mandy
Nice to see youself and Mandy in vanlife mode once again. Not forgetting that lovely hound of yours. I keep thinking she's called 'Meg' for some reason? Perhaps I'm confusing her with another UA-camr with a collie? The Project Amber guys were in that exact spot in one of his recent vlogs. Did you say you filmed it in April? Look forward to more road trips and cracking photographs.
Thanks for watching our dog is Jesse lol I know there is that many youtube channels these days its hard to keep up. This vid is three visits put together over the last four years, not getting out much at moment so I thought id upload some footage I never put up, great place for someone like yourself, awesome walks across the water :) Tim/Mandy
@@savedpurplecat No mate, but they had an awesome fireworks display in the harbor at that round monument on top of the hill, and they had a loan piper as well it sounded amazing across the harbor you must go.
Thanks Yes it does, we stop off in Glencoe for the first night and then move onto Skye, its around 8-9 hours in one go, but for some reason we are constantly drawn back to this area :)Tim/Mandy
Well what can we say, awesome. Very atmospheric👍👍
