Congratulations! How are you doing now? I had my intracept procedure done in Jan 2023, in CO by my pain management surgeon and I'm pain free now! So grateful!
@mskinetik how bad was pain after surgery... iam at a pain level of around 2 now but getting this done dec 12th... worried i will hurt agine .... i cant do much before my back hurts but its better then being stuck
Pretty technical, but in short... Square endplate at target level. Oblique until facet joint bisects the vertebral body. Usually come in at 45 degree angle to pedicle.
I have less than 2 weeks to make a decision to do this or not. 😬 I'm 9 mos out from breaking L1 and pain at L4/L5 and failed medial nerve block. I can't find much info on the immediate recovery (wound care, soreness/pain from procedure, activity limitations) because it will all be self-care for me. I'm so stressed out about this.
I cannot comment on specific cases, but sorry to hear it did not help you. See the video on Reactiv8 as that may be an option for patients who failed Intracept. Also I have seen it take 6 mo for full effect from the Intracept as well
Hello Thank you for taking the time to explain this treatment your information is helpful, I would like to ask a question on behalf of my Sister if she has had several back surgeries, as well as previous epidurals what are the odds that this treatment may help for the knees isn't the pain from the same nerve running down from the back my sister has been in excruciating pain for over 20yrs. Thank You in advance for your response. 🫱🏽🫲🏼
I’m excited I just got mine done today

hope it went well
Thank you for the video Dr. Rubin, can this procedure be done to the thoracic area with Modic changes type I ?
Thanks
it’s not approved for thoracic
What is the difference between this procedure and having the nerve burnt? Or is it just another name for it?
This procedure targets and burns the basivertebral nerve which is different than a median branch nerve to a facet joint
why is this not for someone with pain running down their legs.
It is only indicated for low back pain. Not sciatica pain
@@DrEdwardSRubin I had it done and sadly I was not informed about that information. I don't know what I am to do now.
@@danawatts5062 How is your sciatic pain now?
I got it too thinking my leg pain would go away. I feel more pain in legs then I do in my back. Now what am I supposed to do
Later I dint work for me .
I had this done for L3-L5 and it did nothing. Ripoff
Just because it didn’t help you doesn’t necessarily mean it doesn’t work for others.

This procedure is strictly for low back pain. Would not help with the knees
