There's a couple of things you can try. The easiest method is to alter the starting sphere with some of the modeling tools. You can remove some of the edge loops along the height to space out the cubes more. That said, the vertices will always have to pinch together a bit (otherwise you'd have a rectangle rather than a sphere). Alternatively, you can try setting the Distribution Method to "Voxel". This will give you a slightly different effect, but very similar (and the cubes are guaranteed to stay the same distance apart). However, you will probably need to add an extra "Visibility" node with a falloff region to remove the extra voxels that get generated inside the globe.
At 5:11, I am unable to change the trail taper curve. From the editing, it looks like the person recording had an issue too. How do you get around this?
+Ryan Caughey There was a known bug at the time of recording that was supposed to be fixed by release, but unfortunately it looks like it wasn't. To get around it, change the Trail Mode to something else and then adjust the scale. After that you can go back to "Connect to Nearest". Sorry for the inconvenience.
thing what I am trying to do is to have them spaced all the same, how do you do that? Instead of having all kinds of different spacing?
