    Looking at your iron settings you are right in assuming the lower settings are a lower temperature. Synthetic and silk fabrics must be ironed VERY delicately or they melt/burn while cotton and wool are much more durable and take more heat to manuver. So the wool setting to actually melt the beads is spot on in my opinion!
    Also this video is really well organized!! I accidentally stumbled across perler art your videos was one of the first to pop up and I feel like it's very beginner friendly considering I know basically nothing about the craft but you explain it well enough for me to consider tinkering.

    do you know why when i go to amazon to buy perler beads they sell a jar of 22,000 beads for only $21 but a pack of 1000 beads costs $5, and both products are from official perler beads

    • @BigBossRazz
      @BigBossRazz  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, that’s a good question. I imagine that it’s a whole “supply VS demand” deal or something like it. They know that people want the organized beads, and it might be more expensive for them to package and ship in the smaller quantities.
      I STILL have my original jar of 22,000. I might have like 5,000 left, but I have definitely invested a bit into the colors I use more often. I got the 1,000 bags of white, black, one of the blues, and red to name a few. If you think you’ll find organizing relaxing and you have the time or you don’t want to spend comparatively more money for each individual color, check out the jar. If time is an issue and you just want to get started AND you have the money to spare, I really recommend the smaller bags.

    If you dont want to use an iron, just heat up a heavy cast iron skillet and use the bottom side. Its flat and heavy and does the same job. And when you time it right and get good with it you can just rest the pan after it cools enough to no longer melt the beads on the beads them selves so they don't curl.

      @@cutedevil8144 If you’re asking about a full length tutorial, I haven’t made one yet! 😅 Along with the patter, just make sure to make the stem of the plant longer with beads to keep it sturdy and help keep it in place with the styrofoam or whatever else it is you’re using. Lemme know if ya need any more help!

    are the 22,000 bucket the standard size perler? I tried to find what size they are on the site and was unsuccessful. I went to Joann Fabrics and seen they have individual pack colors but they were bigger than the ones in the bucket.

      I think Joann’s has been phasing out their Perler stock in recent years, but maybe that’s just something I’ve personally seen. I think the 22,000 was maybe one of the standard sizes back a few years ago, but I’m not sure if that’s changed. I do know there are different counts now for sure though. The individual packs should still be the standard “midi” size. Were you wondering about mini Perler beads?
