All solos were performed on the Moog Subsequent 37 by a trained professional. Do not attempt to duplicate, re-create, or perform the same or similar solos at home, as personal injury or property damage may occur.
Fantastic!

@1:54 GOD

Wow! That is an incredible track, sir!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Wow.... Just wow. What a machine.
Most excellent.
Thanks, Rob!
This sounds AMAZING!! Well done.
Thanks, Matt!!
This is amazing, keep up the good work!
Thank you Greg☘
Would you say The Moog Sub 37 excels at these rich, darker tones? I'm looking to jump into the synth world and my research has brought me here. Love the jam!
Yes! It absolutely does. I've owned it for years and find it to be a brilliant balance of power, engineering, and playability. Its versatility regularly surprises me. Truly one of the most expressive instruments I've ever owned.
Amazing!
Thanks, Suresh!
Damn that was awesome.
incredible. No idea how you do that. MInd blown.
Awesome piece ....great style !
Many thanks!
Thank you so much! Fantastic!
Славь ИЕГОВУ😃!!!
Superbe inspiration, bravo!
Great sound!😊👍👏🙏
beautiful
Thank you, Francesco!
This is a hugely fun propulsive cinematic pleasure. My son Sam agrees :)
Great playing sound awesome
Thanks a lot!
I've never seen your video before. Congratulations on the high level of your compositions. They are complex but pleasant from the first listening. Greetings from Italy.
Crazy synth skills! Really liked the drum programming too.
Much appreciated!
👏👏👏👏👏
Oh HELL yes. I smashed that bell icon.
just stumbled on this video and it sounds amazing! for real
Awesome! Thank you, Trepke!
I really love those videos.
If money was no object but you could choose only one synth to own, what would you choose?
Thank you!! Only one synth? It would have to be the 3rd Wave from Groove Synthesis. For depth of sound design, hands-on programmability/playability, and overall sound quality, I think it's unmatched.
@ interesting choice! I will check this synth out.
Wow, very good jam. Compliments 👍
Thanks, Romano!! ☺️
Great!😊🙏👏
Good job!!!!!!!!
soundtrack major movie .....
Love My Sub37 . Learning every time one year in 💫
Awesome jam!
Thank you, Joe!!
Nice
Thanks, Mick!
Wow!
I just absolutely loved this, thanks youtube algorithm!
I have a sub37 myself and it’s never sounded like this, i guess it really is the man behind the machine. Do you mind sharing the patch?
Thanks, Julian! And yes. I'm working on sharing patches like this in the future. Stay tuned!
Very cool jam.
Thanks!
❤️ 💙
I like how the pitch blends two octives. How is that done are you like randomly panning between 2 ossilators?
Or something with pitch envelope?
Great question, Aaron! This video is more than a year old so I had to find the patch and retrace my steps. Here's what I found...
LFO2 is modulating the Pitch ENV of OSC2 while the Filter Envelope adjusts the Sub OSC LEVEL with the amount controlled by aftertouch. Also it looks like LFO1 is modulating the Filter ENV times which creates changes over time in what LFO2 is doing. It's hard to see in the video, but I'm pretty sure I adjusted those LFO rates a couple of times throughout as well.
@@drsynthypants wow thank you for such a detailed explanation! I am excited to put this into practice some day. Just need the gear. I'm rocking a moog opus 3 lol so it's not as dynamic as the 37. I just love the sound of this patch. I'm thinking about buying the sub 37 this weekend
The Sub 37 IS my desert island synth. Hands down, it's the most musical and organic FEELING instrument I've ever played.
So... I'm not sayin' you SHOULD get one... but... you should get one. :)
Also, I've been thinking of offering patch banks for a number of my favorite synths. Let me know if you do pick up a Sub 37 - I'd be happy to shoot you that lead patch.
@@drsynthypants totally support that idea!! Do have any other analog synths? Or DAWEless gear?
hey great work. I LOVE the Egyptian-y flare, I tend use those kind of scales a lot myself. anyhow, it looks like you answer comments and I wanted to ask: I could sense some stereo stuff going on -- big Time on the drums and I believe some on the synth solo. was that achieved live? or through daw pan-editing? also, do you know what synths/programs u were used to comprise the drums?
Wow - good ear! I "finalized" the sound (compression and probably some extra delay?) after the video recording session. It's been a while since I recorded this so I don't remember the source of the drums - but I can pull up the session and have a look...
I think Lorn has some competition with this guy
Incredible!! But its not all Sub 37 i take it. I can hear some strings from a Polysynth? Could you share as its a great composition and i'm interested.
You are correct!! The Sub37 is handling the solo only. All of the other sounds are libraries - mostly softsynths from the Artirua V Collection and a few Spitfire samples.
amazing! what effects/pedals has been added to the sub 37? I saw a strymond volante?
Thanks, @eritiro! I often run the Moog through the Volante, but this time I used a Korg SDD-3000 (UAD Plugin) and a touch of Lexicon 480L (again, a UAD Plugin), but both the Korg and the Volante sound great...
Bravo 👏, amazing track. Great sounds and playing. I like it very much! What kind of scale do you play here?
WholeeeKrap never heard anything like this before coming from a synth. Glad it was the 37. Gonna have to subscribe and see what else you have created. What audio do you have coming into the sun 37?? This was amazing.
Thanks so much, Mac!
I'll be making more of these kinda vids in short order... just waiting on a more permanent camera system to arrive.
How you did the drumming part? its awesome.
I'm not sure because I created it so long ago! But in general I play all of my drum parts in on the keyboard using a range of sample libraries and synths.
Thanks for checking it out!
Nice, I soundscape but you can actually play 😀
nice solo, are the bass sounds also from the moog sub 37 ?
Thanks! And yes, indeed. Those gritty bass tones are most definitely the Moog. 😁
WTF? Where did you come from? Whats your address so I can send you this medical bill because I just busted my ass when you blew me out of my chair !!! Phenomenal playing...and I am number 69 subscriber!!!!!
HA!! Thank you!! I LOVE opening up on instruments like the Moog... It's such an organically expressive instrument. I'm setting up my studio to make it easier to create more videos like this in the new year. Thanks for checking it out!
What are these drums Greg!!
