You are right. It may sound inhuman but until we streamline our judicial system where criminals cannot just be bonded out, police eventually get tired of arresting the same criminal many times for same or worse offences.
I understand the frustrations that the police go through to bring criminals to book. But on the other hand, we can not have police officers being too cocky that they can commit extra judicial killings openly, before the public. Consider a case where we have 1000 Rashid Ahmed's across Kenya, allowed to shoot suspects in broad day light, before the cameras and the public. what kind of society will we be? and who will ensure that each time any of the 1000 police officers kills anyone, the deaths are "justified"? remember these 1000 officers are human beings with personal biases and limitations. so, who will be caourageous enough to ensure that neither of them never goes rogue at some point? with the person knowing that if he/she prosecutes the officers for rougue killings, the officers will use the support they get from people like you as protection from criminal liability.
I don't sympathise with the killer boys. But what Rashid did was showmanship and impunity. If his intention was to eliminate the boys, why do it inform of a big crowd? Onlookers and phone videos? He could have taken them in, and then gone to 'finish' them privately somewhere.

The human rights activists should made to keep security in those two areas.
And the self righteous, self seeking lawyers would still spin it against the cops if they fell victim in the hands of the criminals.
