I think netflix should start on Lily, the fandom would be a dream come true and it wouldn't have to be a completely unlucrative offer for her either given the success of this show... unfortunately they will never even offer it to her because it doesn't fit with their diversity or whatever you want to call it
I feel that if Sophie Beckett is played by an actress of color, it will receive backlash and become a controversy because if you know world history, people of color are seen as inferior and the Europeans are seen as superior and Sophie is a slave as mentioned in the books so I just want Lily James or an actress of her race/ethnicity playing Sophie Beckett to avoid backlash and to me an actress of color playing Sophie Beckett isn’t diversity because I can see that they might be stereotyping people of color as inferior. But for Araminta because she is a stepmother and Rosamund and Posy are the stepsisters, they can be played either played by European actresses or actresses of color, or better for diversity I just prefer actresses of color playing Araminta, Rosamund and Posy.
