Hi Drew! I couldn't be with you during the live lesson but I'm here now! Thanks so much for all the lessons during this year. Wishing you Merry Christmas and a splendid New Year!
It's really funny to discover the meaning of "proof" because we all use this word "waterproof" even non native speakers, without thinking of it. I mean I’m doing it myself! And congratulations for your very good French pronunciation! In France we love to hear a slight American accent. :) - And for the "beret", it's a bit of a legend I think, or really long time ago, or again of people from the countryside... or some militaries. But the baguette does exist! :D Have a very nice time for Christmas, and much more! :)
Good morning, Teacher, thank you si much for your time to teach us I really appreciate it. Today is 24 Christmas eve here in California I hope you have a great Christmas 🎄 and blessings in the new years is going to start. I will see you next year, once again thank you
Hi Drew. I have a question about using an expression "go off a cliff". For instance, let's imagine a situation when a couple raise their son. They do their best for providing succesful future for their son which is going to graduate and get his degree, let's say in physics. But he has failed to pass his last exam and as a result the parent's expectation went out of the window, at least it might seem so to them. Here is a question. To express their dissapointment and emphasise that all their hard work was in vain , can the father use an expreession like "All our efforts went off a cliff"? I guess NO, even for me it sounds unnaturally. Right? So, here is another question. What colloquial expression/s can be used to express a parent's dissapointment? Thanks a lot.
