Memories. Worked at the arts centre, Grand Hyatt in the gym and Hertz rent a car. lived on St Kilda Road and for a short time on Collins Street. Was a great city but my last visit horrified by what they did to Southbank, cramming too many high rises in. Brother lives in Brighton, I now live in London. Crazy crazy world. Thanks for this.
Great video. I live in NSW but could move to Melbourne in a heart beat. The humidity sucks in Sydney & Melbourne is the capital of Sports & has great weather. . Really cold in winter but a fresgh invigorating cold. I love the trams.
@@iandawson3171 lol having lived in Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne I can strongly say Melbourne is by far the best city in Australia. Sydney is boring after a few days, looks get boring. Sydney is better than Brisbane though.
@@iandawson3171 I love the Sydney harbour. It's beautiful. That aside, Sydney offers nothing for me that Melbourne doesn't offer. And it's definitely not a dump and I don't need a sexy city :)
Interesting video - I normally do not see this approach over the city say from Sydney or Brisbane or any other city in Australia - if I may ask, where from were you flying?
Watching this makes me depressed I have to work in Melbourne. Look out in the distance to what seems like an infinite overpopulated urban sprawl. Melbourne has become a shit hole. Victoria, excluding Melbourne, is a beautiful place though.
@@Mostopinionatedmanofalltime how is wasting 2 and a half hours a day in traffic a good thing. It is a should destroying waste of life. I tried changing jobs but as a tradie, like most tradies I live in the outer suburbs, but all the work is towards the city. I quit being a plumber 3 months ago because this big city you live was killing me inside. I now work 20 mins away on a low wage, but I prefer it to plumbing in the city on a decent wage
@@xkimopye Well I don't know. I've never been to Australia. But large American cities have that kind of work all throughout. Traffic can be a pain I understand that. I don't what kind of zoning laws you have over there. Good luck to ya.
Strong crosswind, but a soft landing. Nice view of the western suburbs of Melbourne as well.
Beautiful landing! I love Melbourne 💕
Great video, one of the best landing in Melbourne videos
great photography thanks last year i was here ican see whole city and ship yard yarra and ultimately melbourne airport . i love Australia
Thanks mate! You’re right that you get a good view of the Yarra River and Docklands from the approach into the airport - not much beats this view.
thanks for the quick response

@@andyturbo Oh. I've lived in Adelaide most of my life and been to a few places in my life. Sydney is stunning.

I think that "dump" refers to Sydney@@iandawson3171
Hey Mom She is Mary Roy Chowdhury.
That is one flat city, at least it’s fantastic!
I like flat cities. 🙂
Not that flat when you are down there.
Interesting video - I normally do not see this approach over the city say from Sydney or Brisbane or any other city in Australia - if I may ask, where from were you flying?
This was from Auckland, NZ where the approach to Melbourne is from the East before turning to the North for the airport.
Where's the Dandenong Ranges?
I always lose my tires when attempting to land in that airport in Airline Commander game due the little hills at the heading. lol
Best view is when that city is well behind you in the distance ….
Best thing I've seen in Melbourne is the sign that says Sydney 980km
Really? I've seen better.
Good stay there
The best view of Melboringis from a plane leaving.

I live there and love it except for summer heat and peak hour traffic.
Big city is a good thing mate.
