I've been following Mononeon for a while. All I have to say is that this cats my favorite bass player right now. Focuses on the groove and manages to be insanely creative at the same time. Too many bass players can do all the flashy stuff but suck at actually playing bass. Mono neon holds it down while being progressive and visionary. Seriously betting my money that he's going to blow up.

I saw Dangelo play this. @ Hollywood house of blues. Women were dropping like flies, one next to me was talking to her gf and her eyes rolled back and fainted. Pino played so viciously the floor and building vibrated!!!! I’ve seen Parliament, James Brown and Prince many times but NOBODY made the building shake!!

Mononeon is a prodigy all in his own. Plays both left and right handed but Left dominant. His thing is playing upside down right-handed basses. Fucking legend to see live too

“Groove” has a new name, and that name is Mononeon. Interesting that he plays it upside down too, I’ve known a few people to play the opposite handed instrument that way, but normally with the stringing reversed. Not Mono, he’s gone full base over apex, lol
What was Jaco playing Third Stone to you? Or Stanley Clarke's School Days? For that matter, when Paul Chambers or Scott LaFaro took solos, were they "playing like saxophones" and should have stayed in their lane...?
