Watching Charlie aboslutely delete a boss I struggled with and then, in return, get repeatedly smacked about by a boss I had no issues with is the most entertaining thing ever. One moment you feel like a complete noob, the other you're staring at the screen like "how can he not see how easy it is?". Really shows how differently people tackle the same game.
@@anthonyalvarez2037 first thing I had to get used to when fighting genichiro for the first time, I thought he was so damn hard and kept trying to doge and after awhile I realized it was almost like a rhythm game, a dance between two swords and each attack had a pattern to it and he became so easy
@@tsavage4337 dude, I didn't even come from dark souls and I still had trouble with the parry. This Game is so Beautiful and awesome, with a great combat system that is challenging and the bosses are legitimately scary and tough I hope Miyazaki makes a Berserk Game
It is BY FAR the best release of 2019, and also of all times lol. This game is a masterpiece in a true sense, not " a masterpiece" that has been thrown around like God of War or Witcher 3 for example which are nice games, but not even in the same universe like Sekiro.
Sekiro was magical on 1st playthorugh, especially the castle Genichiro fight, it was so intense, so cinematic and visceral at the same time, I honestly don't remember when was the last time I felt so overpowered by sheer awesomness of the game.
So I played the game on release, got all the way to Demon of Hatred & then quit. Not cause of the difficulty, just because other coop games came out and it fell to the wayside. I just recently decided to replay it and beat it, and both times, Castle Genichiro gave me the hardest time out of all the bosses. It took me 4 hours my first time & then 1 hour on my second play through. I had more trouble with Genichiro then I did with Isshin Sword Saint. I beat him first try and NG+ though. This game is such a masterpiece
@@chiefinasmith The demon of hatred felt more difficult to me than genichiro and sword saint isshin ain't that tough. I think I reckt him in my 8th try or something. Low for a final boss. To this day I still have a hard time beating the demon of hatred the most without a divine confetti.
I think it’s amazing that this game was really made by fromsoft to try out new combat systems and it ended up being one of their best and got game of the year. Well deserved
I completed every souls game and enjoyed all of them, but I refunded Sekiro after playing like 40 minutes of it... can you guide me to like it? Does it get better? I didn't really get much from the beginning of the game so thought I'd just return it
@@aaron4820 just sounds like its not your cup of tea. if you cant get used to deflecting and not dodging you wont have fun playing this game. seriously. dodging is not the way to play
@@aaron4820 I was basically the same way, I bought it at launch and played it but didn't like it because it was hard to learn and get used to after playing the souls games a bunch. 9 months later I went back to it and fell in love with sekiro. you CANT play it like its a souls game, which is what I was trying to do at first and thats why I couldnt get into it or progress much. sekiro is all about parrying and countering, trying to dodge everything like in souls games won't get you anywhere. It's a completely new combat system which is daunting at first but you'll come to appreciate it once you start to get the hang of it
Elden Ring looks so good and it's probably gonna be fun af, but Sekiro looks like it will still have the most satisfying combat imo because of the constant slashing, deflecting, countering, and jumping. It just feels so much more active and intense.
Yes I agree, I would like if Elden Ring had a combat system similar to Dark Souls. Or maybe a hybrid of both. It truly feels like a proper sword fight. Only bosses like Headless throw everything good about the combat out the window lol
Agreed. I wanted to get into Dark Souls 3 but the combat is just not the same and I did not like rolling around and running away. Nothing against DS3 and I really want to enjoy it but I initially didn't want to play Sekiro and it's the aesthetically pleasing combat that pulled me in.
@@golasticus to a certain extent I agree. It does get old rolling around like a maniac. Although Dark Souls you have a lot more leeway in terms of play style. Sekiro it forces you to play their way.
@@AQS521 That is true. I have a friend who's a fan of FromSoft's stuff but didn't give Sekiro a shot because of the lack of customization. To each his own I guess because I'm in the opposite camp that doesn't like too many options. That's the other thing that I personally didn't like about DS3. People would say there's no "correct" way to play but when I'm playing, I constantly get this feeling that I could screw myself over if I wear the wrong gear or build the wrong stat, as I often do in games that allow it.
@@golasticus Well put, I have the exact same feeling with Sekiro. You can invest in certain skills but aside from that everyone plays the game the same way and that makes it feel very solid.
Genichiro's difficulty comes from players trying to play Sekiro like it's Dark Souls, he just forces you to learn how to deflect and counter, as long as you can do that he's not bad at all. That said the first time I played he absolutely pushed my shit in until I got the deflect timings down
@Chuck Buskee I recently bought sekiro my first fromsoft game and I kinda think people overestimated the difficulty of it owl father and demon of hatred took me like 1 or 2 hrs each I hope swordsman saint isshin will actually be unfair
@@imstillaj nothing is overestimated everyone is different and it surprises me people don't understand that. There's always bosses that are easier for some than others depending on play style experience reflex's personality and if it's a dark souls elden ring game than build as well. There's probably a boss that you think was the hardest and people won't understand why you think it's hard at all.
I really enjoy his content, but he has shown time and time again that he can be pretty thoughtless and sometimes downright goofy. Still love the content though
@@SpinningTurtle66 same i like his content but i really dont like the way he criticize horror games like i know a lot of people suggest him shitty horror game but there was this one time where people suggested him like a really indie one person developer type game where the developer really does try to put some effort in their game and he would just shit and shit on it mercilessly for a game below 3 dollar and basically made within half a year. I genuinely feel bad for the developer during that stream
Was so sad when I discovered you only had a sword and some secondary gadget at first... Then played it and realized how much they got to perfect the combat feel by focusing on one weapon only! What a masterpiece
he also did the same thing on his first playthrough of the game. barely did any secondary gadget and just focused on the combat aspect of the game. really interesting playstyle
@Filipe gadgets are golden for boss fights thats about it. and maybe some large group areas with stealth. other then that they are kinda situational. its always easier to kill one regular enemy with deflects and regular attacks compared to gadgets
There's something in my brain that screams every time Charlie tries to dodge into or away from a sweep attack instead of *jumping* over halfway into the game. I've probably fought all these bosses way too much, because seeing someone get all the way to owl father, only to still try dodging a sweep again hurts.
Danger sign flashes and it's not a stab Charlie: *dodges instead of jumping for the thousandth time, gets hit* "asdfgassdak how did that even hit me?" Me: *facepalms*
Yes. It mostly upsets me due to the fact that other people who haven't ever played Sekiro might think the game is filled with cheap deaths and systems that only work half the time when that is not the case.
Ever played NIOH 2, it's combat system is mind-blowing and it's generally regarded as the best combat ever made It's combat is like sekiro but with tons of different weapons and more moves
@@damn6039 it's more in depth for sure but there are other areas where Nioh is a lot worse than From games (imo of course). The music, bosses, and especially story are significantly worse than souls or sekiro (can't say about Bloodborne or Demon's souls though those look awesome). Level design is sorta meh too, and the loot system really doesn't appeal to me much. But if we're judging purely by combat Nioh is better. All the skills are cool as hell, especially for spear.
@@martinsergo6108 Nioh is a true action game, From games are not. In Nioh, 90% of the brainpower is put into combat, 10% into everything else. It would get stale incredibly fast if the combat wasn't so good. Every mission is "fight enemies, interact with arbitrary object". And with so much depth to the combat it doesn't really matter because you could play for 2000 hours and still not be a master. Whereas From games are obsessively crafted experiences with pretty much every item hand placed in a specific area to allow exploration to be properly rewarded without breaking the balance of the game (i.e there is a perfect amount of sen bags in the ashina outskirts to let you purchase the firecrackers from the first memorial mob)
@@buckyhurdle4776 For sure. Nioh has a much larger focus on the combat while From's stuff is a mix of exploration and combat. I prefer having the exploration aspect and the superior presentation of From's games, though Nioh is great too.

This game took me 2 years on and off to beat. It was my first souls game I ever beat. Thankfully the rest of the games didn't take me literally 2 years to beat but sekiro will always have a special place in my heart
Wouldn't even call it a souls game tbh, it has none of the open ended progression or combat mechanics souls games are known for. Still one of the best games From has put out, but it's not a souls game.
Best action game I've ever played. Finally beat it on Friday, after playing off and on for about 8 months. I WISH Fromsoft would make a direct sequel for it. Heading west would've been so dope!
I still pray they make another Sekiro. There is always the possibility tbh. From Software isn't going anywhere. It might be ten years, but if Armored Core has proven anything is that From Software does not forget its games.
I didn't get to play Sekiro when it first came out, but during 2021 I got my hands on the game during the pandemic and holy shit it was one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I beat that shit back to back around 14 times upto 99 atk power.
I upvoted your comment, but I think the problem is with the engine and they dont want to change it. It's been the same engine for over a decade, they just keep updating it.
its essentially a collision bug, since enemies have these invisible boxes that constantly overlap with other actors within the game, there would have to be a verification if an enemy hits a wall, but the player is also nearby the wall, then the player gets hit, but seems they only have one check, which is if the player is nearby the hitbox of the enemy's attack, regardless of the circumstances, except for when the player performs an execution or an animation, then they are still vulnerable to the attack even if they are behind a wall.

I literally just picked up this game last week and I’m going for the platinum and I’m so glad you posted this because it’s fun to see other peoples experience with the game going back to it
I recently completed this for the first time and wow, I’m wondering if it will decrease my appeal of Elden Ring just because of how damn right this game is.
@OneFortyFour honestly i feel like they didnt carry any of the unique features of sekiro into elden ring. not that i mind, but people often say things like "this is a culmination of all the games so far" when its more like a culmination of all the souls games so far + some entirely new features. essentially all the things that made sekiro unique (minus insta jump and stealth) are still unique to sekiro only, such as deflect/posture/deathblows etc
Sekiro was my first FromSoft game, ended up putting over 500 hours in, got to NG+ 11 on my main save file and was doing no hit boss runs by the end. This is a once in a decade game and I don't think I'll ever experience the same dopamine rush as I did from my first playthrough of this masterpiece
After giving up and not playing for 2 years, I finally picked it back up and beat the game last week in preparation for Elden Ring. I wanted to prove to myself if I bought it I would finish it. Im really happy to see you playing this masterpiece again Charlie.
I’m fairly new to FromSoft games so I started playing this a few weeks ago after finishing dark souls 3 and it passed in my view from having the worst combat system I’d ever seen to being my favourite combat system in any game in the span of like 3 days
What I love so much about From Software games is when you look at how other people around you experience the games, like every time I had my own share of bosses that absolutely destroyed me but my friends had zero problems with. Then there were bosses which my friends were stuck on for hours or days while it was no problem for me

The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a quick building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy. • His fast move speed can boost forward mini tanks like an Ice Golem in a push. At the same time, he can also function as a tank for lower hitpoint troops such as Goblins as he still has a fair amount of health. Most cheap swarms complement the Hog Rider well, as they are nearly as fast as him and usually force more than one card out of the opponent's hand. * The Hog Rider struggles with swarms, as they can damage him down and defeat him quickly while obstructing his path. Barbarians in particular can fully counter him without very strict timing on the defender's part, though be wary of spells. * A Hunter can kill the Hog Rider in 2 hits if placed right on top of it. However, if you place something in front of the Hog Rider, the Hunter's splash will damage the Hog Rider and hit the card in front of it more. * The Hog Rider in conjunction with the Freeze can surprise the opponent and allow the Hog Rider to deal much more damage than anticipated, especially if the opponent's go-to counter is a swarm, or swarms are their only effective counter to him. Skeletons and Bats will immediately be defeated by the spell, while Spear Goblins, Goblins, and Minions will be at low enough health to be defeated by a follow up Zap or Giant Snowball. * However, this strategy isn't very effective against buildings as the Hog Rider will take a while to destroy the building, giving the opponent ample time to articulate another counter. * Against non-swarm troops, it can deal a lot of damage during the freeze time, but this can allow the opponent to set up a massive counterpush. For this reason, players should either only go for a Hog Rider + Freeze when they have other units backing it up from a counterattack, or if the match is about to end and they need to deal as much damage as possible. * It is not a good idea to send in a Hog Rider simply to destroy a building, especially if it is the only building targeting unit available, as defeating Crown Towers becomes substantially more difficult. Spells or simply waiting out the lifetime of the building are more effective. The exception to this is an Elixir Collector placed in front of the King's Tower. If a Hog Rider placed at the bridge, he can destroy the Collector for a positive Elixir trade, though the damage from both Princess Towers will usually mean he does not survive to deal any damage to them. However, if the opponent sends in defending troops, it can be an opportunity to gain spell damage value. * In a deck with several low-cost cards, it might be worth it to simply send the Hog Rider against one building. These decks shuffle their card rotation quick enough, that they will arrive to their next Hog Rider before the next building arrives in the opponent's card rotation. * Long-ranged troops like Musketeer and Flying Machine can snipe those buildings, preserving some of the Hog Rider's health, possibly allowing it to get some Tower damage. * When there are buildings placed in the middle to counter the Hog Rider, understanding the placement of the Hog Rider and the type of building placed can help the Hog Rider to bypass certain buildings. * Passive buildings such as spawners and Elixir Collector have a larger hitbox than defensive buildings; which means that if a passive building was placed 3 tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, then it is impossible for the Hog Rider to bypass that placement as the Hog Rider will get pulled to that building. * Defensive buildings have a smaller hitbox than a passive building, which means if that if a defensive building was placed three tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, a Hog Rider placed at the very left or right side of the Arena may be able to bypass it due to its smaller hitbox. * If the player has a building already placed down in the center of the arena, and the opponent tries to bypass it with a Hog Rider at the edge of the arena, they can use certain air troops to push the Hog Rider towards the building as it jumps over the river, effectively denying the bypass attempt. They must be already hovering over the correct placement, as very quick reflexes are required to correctly perform this technique. * For Bats, Skeleton Dragons, and Minion Horde, they should be placed right in front of the Hog Rider as soon as it is deployed. * For Minions, Skeleton Barrel, Mega Minion, Flying Machine, Electro Dragon, Baby Dragon, Inferno Dragon, Balloon, and Lava Hound, stagger the above placement one tile to the right if the Hog Rider is placed on the left side of the arena, and vice versa. * They can also use ground troops to achieve the same result. Something like an Ice Golem deployed at the Hog Rider’s landing spot will obstruct his path and force him to go around the unit, which causes him to be closer to the building instead of the Crown Tower. * The Hog Rider can kite Very Fast non-building targeting troops due to his own Very Fast speed and building only targeting if he is placed on the fourth tile from the bridge, slightly into the opposite lane. He can also stall grounded units when placed right at the bridge. He will pull them towards him while deploying, and then be untargetable by them when he jumps over the bridge. After landing, he will pull them back. This can be useful when the player needs to deal damage in the same lane they are defending. It will also help separate troops behind a tank in a large push. * A Tornado placed on the second tile front of the player's King's Tower and staggered two tiles towards the Princess Tower will activate it without any damage dealt to the Princess Tower, helping them in defending future pushes. This can also be a method of mitigating all damage dealt to a Princess Tower, but doing this more than three times may result in the King's Tower's health being low enough to be targeted directly, opening up the possible threat of a back door three crown. A better alternative is to pull the Hog away from the Princess Tower into the attacking range of all three Crown Towers, which will negate all damage as long as none of them are already distracted * A very powerful combo is the Hog Rider, the Musketeer, and the Valkyrie, typically referred to as the Trifecta. The Musketeer will defend against most troops, while the Valkyrie can protect her and the Hog Rider from swarms or high damage units. The Hog Rider is used to deal damage to the tower. * This can be effectively countered by Lightning, one-shotting the Musketeer and severely damaging both the Valkyrie and Hog Rider. The Minion Horde is also effective, but the enemy can Zap them and the Musketeer will one-shot them all. Even if the Musketeer is defeated, the Hog Rider and Valkyrie will have enough time to severely damage the Tower. * The Hog Rider should be placed behind the Valkyrie to give it a boost so that it stays in front of the Hog Rider, protecting it. * A Hog Rider combined with a Goblin Barrel can be awkward for the opponent to defend against. Timing it so that the Hog Rider is tanking the tower shots for the Goblins is the most effective way to deal damage. However, a Barbarian Barrel can shut this down with minimal Tower damage for a positive Elixir trade, as long as the Goblin Barrel was placed directly on the Tower. * Pairing the Hog Rider with the Balloon can deal devastating damage. If executed properly, the Hog Rider will act as a tank while the Balloon threatens to deal massive damage. The Hog Rider can also destroy any buildings attempting to slow down the combo. However, this combo is very vulnerable to swarms and anti-air cards as neither of the troops target anything but buildings. Additionally, they are easy to separate, due to the disparity in move speeds. Alternatively, the Hog Rider and the Balloon can be played in different lanes to spread the opponent's defenses thin. However, a building or Tornado can bring them back together for an easier defense.
The only bosses in this game that really gave me alot of trouble were the beast bosses (and Isshin The Sword Saint) Other than that, all the other fights just feel like a really nice flow thats easy to get the hang of.
@The Toyoda Car I'm super late, but I thought the inner bosses were easier (if you already knew how the originals played). I'm pretty sure inner father is the only one that gave trouble. Coming back to this video after having beating and mastering this game (multiple ng+ runs with bell and charm) this games flow state is insane. Reaching the peak of your awareness and simply meshing with a boss, knowing, predicting and countering their every move like YOU'VE become the boss is beyond good feeling, this game is absurdly good for it and I'm sad more games don't have this pace or combat system.
I always thought Sekiro was the "lesser" game among From Software's Souls-like games but it's the game I liked more, mainly because of the different combat. I initially had no plan of playing this game but when I saw how cool the parries looked, I had to give it a shot. Never thought I'd actually finish a game this hard but I did and it was absolutely enjoyable. Watching Charlie play this now makes me want to have a go at the game again, just to properly get the Shura ending and unlock the full boss rush mode.
Honestly the best way to “cheese” him(not really cheesing him since it’s not a glitch or exploit) is to do the lighting reversal every time you get the chance to. I struggled with that fight until he got low enough on health and started spamming his lightning attack, then he goes down pretty quick after reversing one or two of those attacks

I respect your preference for customizability. But Sekiros 1 style has so much flavor and depth to it. Watch ONGBALs videos and you can see how perfectly tailored the combat is. As opposed to Dark Souls where we have stuff like Miracle Builds that just don't work at all. I think it's better to have 1 GODLIKE gameplay style than 50 pretty good ones
I think from soft wanted to try some things they were implementing in Elden ring in a safe environment, so they went hard on the combat mechanics while dialing back customization. Online I guess didn't really work as well when everyone is playing the same character and most combat is 1v1 focused. To me I hope they do sekiro-like projects, meaning they do a linear, very refined game in between the Ds, ER etc.
@D_ans i kind of agree and disagree at the same time. i personally really love the customization of souls games, but sekiro is a different type of beast entirely.they arent really comparable in those aspects. sekiro is closer to games like ninja gaiden and dmc, where u unlock skills and techniques rather than rpg style customization. sekiro is far more of an action game than the souls games, and its why i freakin love it just as much as the soulsborne games. it just scratches my ninja gaiden itch so freakin well, especially considering how butchered and forgotten the ninja gaiden series is.

One thing this game and Wo Long did right when it comes to grounded combat, is that you don't have stamina to worry about per se. Your mistakes don't actually stunlock you to death in most cases, and it also justifies enemies having hyper armor since again, if you panic on a delayed attack, you still have a fair chance to recover without having to run away to manage your stamina. Whereas most Soulslike games just use hyper armor as a cheap learning tool for the player, it punishes you so hard and you end up getting one or two shot out of one mistake

Charlie says health isn't important....yet the grand majority of his wins against the bosses was because he reduced their health enough that their posture started to recover too slowly. Which in turn, allowed charlie to break their posture for a deathblow. That means, health is very much relevant lol
It's true that on the mid and late game bosses you do need to do some health damage to retain posture damage, but it still isn't something that needs to be focused on. I've never focused on dealing vitality damage, yet I've completed a charmless bell demon run, so it really isn't important to focus on the vitality, which was what I'm pretty sure he was trying to say, that you need to focus on posture damage more.

I just finished it and got the return ending. this is my first ever souls game (if u don't count the few hours I have on dark souls 3) and it's genuinely a work of art.

When I need to relax after classes I will literally just fight Isshin Sword Saint again. It is easily my favorite boss to refight, because nailing the rhythm of the fight makes it feel so satisfying.
I don’t know how to explain this without sounding like an idiot but this is genuinely one of my favorite games of all time, I’ve played through it multiple times but I have never been able to beat that final boss. I just don’t have the time to grind it for hours but I still believe this game is a masterpiece, that’s how good of a game it is.
Grinding for hours actually won't work at all. The best way is to sleep on it, and you'll do better the next day because your brain analyzes that information while you sleep.
I really want to play this game after I beat Elden RIng. I don't want to jump straight into a second playthrough, I'm afraid I might get tired of it because I did every dungeon and boss I could possibly find. But I have one very important question - can you somehow skip the big Serpent part? Or, if not, how easy it is to get through it fast? I have a genuine phobia of snakes and can't stand seeing one, even on the screen. Jumpscares with a huge snake would literally give me a heart attack.
@越來越圓滾滾了 Thanks! Did you beat Rykard in Elden Ring? I tried twice and was absolutely horrified. I was looking away from the screen most of the fight... Then I found a youtube guide and made my girlfriend watch it and she beat him. I might do the same with this one LOL

Overwhelmed not overpowered
So I played the game on release, got all the way to Demon of Hatred & then quit. Not cause of the difficulty, just because other coop games came out and it fell to the wayside. I just recently decided to replay it and beat it, and both times, Castle Genichiro gave me the hardest time out of all the bosses. It took me 4 hours my first time & then 1 hour on my second play through. I had more trouble with Genichiro then I did with Isshin Sword Saint.

Most can’t, and those that can are meant to in order to prevent you from cheesing, it’s a video game, not real life.
its essentially a collision bug, since enemies have these invisible boxes that constantly overlap with other actors within the game, there would have to be a verification if an enemy hits a wall, but the player is also nearby the wall, then the player gets hit, but seems they only have one check, which is if the player is nearby the hitbox of the enemy's attack, regardless of the circumstances, except for when the player performs an execution or an animation, then they are still vulnerable to the attack even if they are behind a wall.

A better alternative is to pull the Hog away from the Princess Tower into the attacking range of all three Crown Towers, which will negate all damage as long as none of them are already distracted
* A very powerful combo is the Hog Rider, the Musketeer, and the Valkyrie, typically referred to as the Trifecta.
Everything in this game is just perfect, the only game i actually cared about getting all achivement
The only bosses in this game that really gave me alot of trouble were the beast bosses (and Isshin The Sword Saint) Other than that, all the other fights just feel like a really nice flow thats easy to get the hang of.
did you fight the inner bosses? They unlock after you reach them in the gauntlets.
@The Toyoda Car I'm super late, but I thought the inner bosses were easier (if you already knew how the originals played). I'm pretty sure inner father is the only one that gave trouble. Like seriously no hate towards you or anyone. I just thought all the gauntlets were kinda weak but the rewards were really nice
@@BigCheese117 I know I'm late aswell but imo the mortal journey gauntlet is brutal. Doing every single boss in the game except for the filler fights was tough as hell imo including the inner fights at the end.
13:21 this boss is pretty easy once you notice how he choreographs that unsheathe-resheathe attack (theres a sparkle before he pulls his sword out) since its pretty much all he does and parrying it breaks his stance down so much
Yeah its kinda of bad faith when the boss is just teaching you to wait and parry. But ehw streamer pressure I guess

The only FromSoftware game I couldn’t beat Sword Saint Isshin made me rethink life.
I wish ghost of tsushima had this kind of combat.
I have put over 500 hours into Sekiro and I don't regret any of it, still one of the best games I've ever played
The game is amazing
"I genuinely believe that Owl-Father is overhyped"
5 minutes later : *got wrecked by Owl-Father*
I always thought Sekiro was the "lesser" game among From Software's Souls-like games but it's the game I liked more, mainly because of the different combat. I initially had no plan of playing this game but when I saw how cool the parries looked, I had to give it a shot. Never thought I'd actually finish a game this hard but I did and it was absolutely enjoyable.
Watching Charlie play this now makes me want to have a go at the game again, just to properly get the Shura ending and unlock the full boss rush mode.
isshin glock saint was the only boss that felt like impossible to beat and took me almost 4 weeks
That whole fight is badass but ur right lol it took awhile to learn his moves especially when he pulled out that pistol ... like srsly dude
Hesitation is defeat.
Ishiin was pretty easy to me owl father is the guy who messed me up
Honestly the best way to “cheese” him(not really cheesing him since it’s not a glitch or exploit) is to do the lighting reversal every time you get the chance to. I struggled with that fight until he got low enough on health and started spamming his lightning attack, then he goes down pretty quick after reversing one or two of those attacks
@@WastePlace the third phase of isshin is not difficult in itself, it’s the fact that for most people, second phase takes most of their gourds and takes a ton of tries to beat.

1:13:47 - that triple lightning was so lucky, holy heck!
Beautiful, challenging game. My only problem with it when compared to the other Soulsborne games is the lack of different play styles and online.
Lack of replay ability but at least it has different endings not too much difference but the bad one has different bossses
I personally like how the game isn't as customizable. Choice overload and all that
I respect your preference for customizability.
Charlie is the most reliable source when trying to find games

For clarification: nobody thinks Owl Father is the hardest boss in the game. It's Inner Father that's the real menace.
I can't imagine fighting the ape without the spear.. impressive
A lot easier with mortal draw :3
How is the spear good for the ape? I've never used it and I can't think of anything that would be pulled off, so why is the spear something that's apparently good for the ape?

I don't think Sekiro could be considered a rhythm game
@@caixo5604 eh, it isn’t in a traditional sense but getting good at the combat requires you to memorize the rhythm of attacks so you can parry them. You can’t parry everything but knowing how to parry all the stuff that isn’t unblockable really helps and it’s all rhythm/timing based
@@caixo5604 genichiro tho. Him and owl father are basically rhythm games

Best cutscene and one of my top 3 bosses. Its Genichiro (2nd encounter), Owl (both at the tower and Hirata Estate), and Isshin the Sword Saint. Incredible bosses that when u beat them, makes u feel like a badass

@@satincartoon2213 Even if you didn't focus on doing vitality damage, Vitality damage was still the difference between winning and not winning. There are numerous bosses and several enemies whose postures won't break unless you start chipping their health down, to impact the Posture recovery speed.
Vitality Damage is important in the game. You literally can't beat several bosses if you ignore dealing damage to to their health lol.
@@A1phaz0ne The point I was making was that he wasn't wrong in what he said, at least if I interpreted him correctly. It isn't important to focus on vitality damage, but that doesn't mean vitality damage isn't important. You'll never have to worry about needing to deal more vitality damage or even glance at the enemies vitality bar, but that doesn't mean vitality damage isn't important, it's just not important to pay attention to it.
