The show's conception of "action" is less physical car chases and more interpersonal actions among characters: attacking, testing, seducing, warning, asserting status . . . . As in theater, those actions are accomplished mostly through language and physical relationship. I loved your video about editing -- seeing how edits can support and reveal those dramatic actions/relationships (something that isn't available on the stage).

I was invested in this series, staying up countless nights to see what happens next. I want to see what happens with the BTK killer! I feel used and abused.
When they turned the Ann Burgess character into a lesbian -- which she was not -- they lost me. She was a plain old housewife with kids and a psychiatric nurse with oodles of data, massive understanding and a scientifically-based compassionate nature. Had they left the character as she really was, it would have been a much better series.
Mindhunter set up a lot of interesting things and paid off very little....common in many shows last few years. It's very interesting to start adding up the pieces but it takes talented writing to pay them off.

Mindhunter was not cancelled by Netflix. The shows creator backed off due to other projects. It is his right. I also wish the series continued. Perhaps it will pick up again but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I noticed in season 2 the resemblance between Dr. Carr and Claire Underwood. Looked up the directors to find out MindHunter and House of cards had the same director. I watched HOC 3 times no wonder I finished mindhunter in 4 days also, I like the movie Seven.

I dont have anything against peoples lives but for hells sake it ads nothing to the show and is a waste of tome in the story. The audience wants to see how the fbi was able to find serial killers not lesbians.
It is a very good show. However, I don't like the girlfriend being vulgar because women like her are not vulgar in real life, so it is not true to life. Did the actress feel comfortable saying her lines? Because, I did not feel comfortable listening to them, as an audience member. She comes across as an intelligent sex bot but it is supposed to be the seventies.
The level of internalised misognyny on this comment. Just because you are modest and prudish, doesnt mean all, or even most women are. I can attest to this, as a woman myself. This show is literally about mass murder and gruesome crime, but a bit of fucking got your knickers in a bunch?? 🙄 Plus, a woman talking about sex does not make her a 'sex bot'.
She is an actor first of all... If she is comfortable with something i don't think you have to comment on it anyway.... I don't understand whats vulgur in something most of us do🤔🤔🤔
