Thx Sooo much Eric for a great shore post. Many of us don't have boats and look forward to you tips and advice on all aspects of shore fishing. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I miss having fishing like that a hour or less from me. Now living in southern Indiana, the closest fishing I have is for hybrid stripers and big blue cats
Ever try flex o drop sinkers? Essentially a several inch section of nylon like a pipe cleaner filled with shot and a swivel on one end. It flexes like a snake and thus is very snag less in moving water.
A friend of mine went out with you years back, dont remember what species exactly but i remember him getting a huge pike... definitely wasnt steelhead, otherwise it wouldn't be so hard to get him to come with me😂. I couldn't believe it, i had a steelhead break a gamagatsu octopus hook a few days ago. First bite of the year, lucks been aweful. Thankfully ive got access to a private honey hole when the main river gets blown (usually fish the chagrin) and made up for it. I LOVE the mustad salmon egg Beak hook. Doesnt matter what species, if its the right size hook it will always be on the top jaw. Im using a bloodrun Pinland which is a 3 weight/ultralight and its a blast. Despite it being a small stream it did great fighting fish pushing 30". One of these days ill get a centerpin reel for it but the Tennessee hamdle allows for a spinning rod as well. Trilene XL is the greatest all around mono ever. Also im back in school and cant afford a whole lot of expensive gear. Ill spend $120-180 rods and south of $100 for reels and Pleuger has never let me down. Hope you had good holidays

wow!! So want to do this!! Amazing. River & Pier fishing looks fun
@Eric Haataja my wife got me the Piscifun carbon X 3000 and man ill tell ya it has the smoothest drag ive ever felt on a reel. You were not BSin my dude. I think she got it for like $65 too with your code.
The same with Calgary Alberta a city of over one million can shore fish downtown for Browns and Rainbows in the Bow river , Vancouver with nearly Three million in the area has tons of places rivers to fish for all the Salmon species , Sturgeon , Dolly Vardens , and different Trout species ,
Very enjoyable video you 2. Please rember to wet your hands before handling trout if you want them to survive. I see too many dead trout every year because of dry hand release.
Do you ever find that they patrol along the walls (where there are walls)? I know the urge is to cast out, but I wonder how many go right past your feet.
Love your videos man. I've learned a lot about fishing the harbor from you and every trip I've made I've done a little better each time. I have a question, i notice a lot of guys always seem to wear rubber gloves, why is that? Like medical gloves.
Beer-City baby born and raised! I myself don’t utilise the lake as an addictive angler. Thanks for sharing Eric .

Awesome thanks for reel review I guess I can jump off the picifun fence
Can’t wait to come out there man and film some content! 😁😁😁 been itching for big browns. 😬😬
Please come to the stocked side of Michigan and try it. They must stock the shit over there because it’s nothing like what you catch over there.
Thanks for the shore fishing video. When tying spawn sacs, how many float beads do you add?
Shoutout Silas
ive been wanting to order a few piscifun reels for my ice rods. its too bad they dont have any baitfeeder reels would be perfect for bottom fishing.

where do you fish this area in early october?
What size reel you using for the first fish 3000 ?
#savethebowfin
Is it even worth trying to use salmon eggs at this time of year?
Who’s that random guy at the end of the video behind you? Was he with you or just wanted to talk to you?
Can you fish off a boat right there if you wanted to?
Where is the ice? Lol
