Ross Wilson has contributed more to the Australian music 🎵🎵 industry than people give him credit hardly a day goes by ross is blaring out my speaker's love to meet him One day get autograph love and respect to Ross and family 🇦🇺✌️ cheers Stephen from QLD ✌️✌️🐨🦘
It's great to see these classics being re-recorded in the ways in which the artist might have originally wished for had it not been for meeting the demands of commercial interests to secure a recording contact in order to make a living.
Ive had a strange obsession with this song ever since youtube "recommended" it to me, having not even heard of Mondo Rock prior. Can you please tell me what this song's about or what inspired it?
This isn't the exact answer you want but I can tell you that when McCusker joined Mondo Rock, a band that was started by Wilson to attract more of an adult audience, McCusker was introducing some great songs to the band and Wilson saw it as a bit of competition and thought he better start writing some good songs to keep up with McCusker so he came up with "Cool World." I kind of link it to when he was in Daddy Cool, just because of the word Cool I guess. But yeah I can't tell you what inspired the song but in an interview he said the song "means a lot" to him.
I’ve loved this song since it’s release in the 80s . I’ve always felt it was simply about a boy/man wanting to break into the cool world of a beautiful girl / woman... simple as that 😀
