If changing the way the electoral votes are cast changes the results of the elections, when there is no change in the popular vote, it just proves that we need to get rid of the electoral college.

I used to believe 1 vote per person and majority wins when I was young and not traveled through the country. As I aged and got real life experience on how different every state and city truly is the electoral college started to make sense.

Why should only a few thousand people in a couple select states get to determine who gets to be president? The current system invalidates tens of millions of people's votes in "safe" states. That includes democrats and republicans.

My respect to Sen Mike McDonald for showing what Republicans lack: honor, respect, moral and patriotism. This is a truly brave man who is standing up for what is right, not just for his party but for his country and countrymen.
Here are my reasons to vote for KAMALA:
1. Kamala's elimination of junk fees at the banks saves Americans $5.5 billion annually.💙
2. Kamala Harris reduced credit card late fees from $32 to $8.💙
3. Kamala's elimination of airline junk fees saves Americans $500 million annually.💙
4. Kamala reduced the price of 41 prescription medicines for low-income Americans and the elderly.💙
5. Kamala provided health insurance to 20 million poor Americans who have never had medical care before.💙

If more Republicans behaved like Mike McDonnell, this country wouldn't be so divided. I’m Canadian, so I don’t have a dog in this fight and my opinion means nothing. But I’m gonna give it anyway! To me, the Nebraska system makes more sense than “winner takes all.” It’s a better representation of the views of the citizens of the state. If one party gets the majority in all electoral districts, then they earned all the Electoral College votes. But if the one party wins in some areas, and the other party wins in some areas, then splitting the EC votes represents the will of the people better than giving all the EC votes to one party.
I think a lot of people in our country would be fine with getting rid of the electoral college altogether and going strictly with a country wide popular vote. We would not have to worry about these type of shenanigans if that were the case.
The problem with the district system is that we have a severe problem with how those districts are created called "gerrymandering" - wherein the party who is in power in a state attempts to draw the lines of districts to cram the most people of the opposite party into one or two small districts, then makes the rest of the state into many districts that are for their party.
It's entirely illegal to do... but it's done over and over again (mostly by Republicans, because cheating is the only way they can win)... and despite multiple cases of it having gone to the Supreme Court, and the SCOTUS ordering the state to fix it... they simply, haven't.

What gets me is they don't even try to hide it, or even show any understanding that what they are doing is a bad thing. They just openly say "hey we need to make it more likely for us to win by changing the rules. What's the big deal?" It's insane that they actually have this mindset in the first place.

The number of attempts by the GOP to change Election Rules/Law inside of 90 days of the Election is breathtaking. They have had some success in doing this. Whatever happened to the 90 Election Window regarding changes being made? Apparently, that window is just a mirage. Going forward, Laws must be enacted that prevent this cynical, disruptive and extremely dangerous nonsense.
What 90 day election window are you referring to? Also states can change their rules as much as they want to for electoral votes no matter how close to the election unless their respective state constitution states otherwise.
