Honestly, I think these types of cosplay cringe compilations are generally mean-spirited and are just spreading unnecessary negativity. If you think cosplay is cringy or if you just don't like it, that's perfectly understandable, it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. But, nobody's forcing you to see anything and it's not hard to ignore these types of things if you don't like them. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for joking, making fun of yourself, and even other people, but I think most of these compilations aren't meant to be playful teasing, or you know, like I said, anything that isn't meant to be mean-spirited. Some people also cosplay to vent, cope with various things that they could be going through, because they don't have any other outlet, and for many other similar reasons, and I can only imagine how much it must hurt to see yourself in any of these compilations at all let alone after you've worked really hard on a cosplay and video. Why not let people enjoy what they enjoy? P.S- Cosplayers have nothing to do with furries. Some cosplayers happen to be furries and some furries happen to be cosplayers, but they're not one in the same. Both completely different hobbies.

I couldn't get passed the first one. The second hand embarassement is too much... I actually feel sorry for them, somehow. I know it's nice to do the things that you love, but I just find cosplay to be pretty cringe in itself, it's just a personal opinion. For example, I am a massive sailor moon fan and I am yet to see a sailor senshi cosplayer that actually looks like a sailor senshi. All of them look like they are either on crack, too chubby or their faces are just not it. How the heck do you expect to look like an anime when you are..human? These things I don't really understand. I love seeing people wear merch or just related items to their favourite characters, but seeing them try to copy the character completely just seems ridiculous to most people, trust me. Only other cosplayers will somehow approve of these, for some odd reason.

I need to quickly adress to all you "normal kids" out there. As a fellow cosplayer cosplaying is a coping mechanism for anyone going through hard times ( depression bullying deaths etc.) We also have a very hard school life allways being ridiculed for our uncommon interests. All these things at school and at home can eventually lead a fellow weeb end their life. (I've known people who have so don't say I'm exaggerating) And to make fun of people who use this as a coping mechanism is so disrespectful so to anyone has made videos corosponding to this trend I just want to inform you and other people who find it funny what we as cosplayers go through. Honestly, I think these types of cosplay cringe compilations are generally mean-spirited and are just spreading unnecessary negativity. If you think cosplay is cringy or if you just don't like it, that's perfectly understandable, it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. But, nobody's forcing you to see anything and it's not hard to ignore these types of things if you don't like them. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for joking, making fun of yourself, and even other people, but I think most of these compilations aren't meant to be playful teasing, or you know, like I said, anything that isn't meant to be mean-spirited. Some people also cosplay to vent, cope with various things that they could be going through, because they don't have any other outlet, and for many other similar reasons, and I can only imagine how much it must hurt to see yourself in any of these compilations at all let alone after you've worked really hard on a cosplay and video. Why not let people enjoy what they enjoy?
P.S- Cosplayers have nothing to do with furries. Some cosplayers happen to be furries and some furries happen to be cosplayers, but they're not one in the same. Both completely different hobbies.

These can be cringe to who thinks they are. It’s not killing you to see people who just don’t like cosplay and it’s not bad to not like cosplay. They can be cringe to who ever simply thinks that. Those opinions should not bother you If you gratefully know they are not what you think. And people in the comment section *including you* Are making the word cringe worse than it is, it is a word that describes un satisfaction. A lot of people choose to take these types of videos as a joke. Unless they are specifically clarifying that they posted this for rude reasons, then you should remain unbothered and continue cosplaying.
And if you are making these types of compilations rude then that is your issue. I understand that you like to cosplay and I respect what you like, but also understand that jokes are jokes, and unless they are intentionally trying to cause mental pain or harm you in any way then you should say something. But if they are for meaning less reasons (Like this video) and you like to cosplay then don’t listen to the people that think cosplay is cringe.
By saying Cosplay is cringe is not saying it is gross or disrespecting the fact that people do it for other reasons, it is what people think is what cosplay is in general. For example, I am a massive sailor moon fan and I am yet to see a sailor senshi cosplayer that actually looks like a sailor senshi. All of them look like they are either on crack, too chubby or their faces are just not it. How the heck do you expect to look like an anime when you are..human? These things I don't really understand. I love seeing people wear merch or just related items to their favourite characters, but seeing them try to copy the character completely just seems ridiculous to most people, trust me. I need to quickly adress to all you "normal kids" out there. As a fellow cosplayer cosplaying is a coping mechanism for anyone going through hard times ( depression bullying deaths etc.) We also have a very hard school life allways being ridiculed for our uncommon interests. All these things at school and at home can eventually lead a fellow weeb end their life. (I've known people who have so don't say I'm exaggerating) And to make fun of people who use this as a coping mechanism is so disrespectful so to anyone has made videos corosponding to this trend I just want to inform you and other people who find it funny what we as cosplayers go through. I don't care, these are all good and better than what I can do currently. People are too judgmental nowadays
