Literally my favorite mode ever. It's almost like rocket league meets smash bros. If you know how to aerial you can pull of insane recoveries. I've had insane matches where me and one other player try to murder each other the entire game but we both refused to die until sudden death
My strat for this game is think of each encounter like rock paper scissors. Grab -> Shield, Shield-> Smash, Smash -> Grab. If someone is spamming grab, using a smash at the same time will counter. Same thing with the others. Find the players’s tendency and use it to counter. Grab is very effective: aim at spikes or the floor below to kill them almost 100% of the time if you have good aim. Since you can only shield from behind (Not grab or smash), grabbing someone from behind is a good way to get a kill. Try constantly knocking players off to boost drain them, at one point they won’t have enough boost to recover. Also make sure to conserve boost so that you can recover.
This mode is SICK! Grab with left trigger and throw into spikes, hit with a light attack and follow up with a strong to blast your opponent to the stratosphere. I'm loving it

This seems like it took so much time and effort by the video the official RL channel uploaded just to be a limited time mode and not a mode like rumble and hoops I really hope they keep it or just add it to the exhibition matches

tbh I think the mode is just... too jank? it's also really heavily impacted by lag I'm glad they're doing weird stuff, but I enjoyed the april fools mode so much more lol

Backwards flip to block, hold left trigger to grab and flip anyway to throw them
Attack as any direction dash other than backwards

@@dereksmerick hold the reverse button and dash any direction, you’ll see a blue attack instead of the regular orange attack if that makes sense
