*Some mistakes in the video:* 17:33 - President Nixon is incorrectly called "Reagan." (oops, some history geek I am) 50:50 - I claim Godzilla takes rest on a remote island, but the upside down mountains in the background indicate he’s actually resting in the Hollow Earth.
Easily my favourite part about the Monsterverse is the continuity between projects in release order, like how Monarch: Legacy of Monsters introduced Applied Experimental Technologies and its eventual rebrand to Apex Cybernetics!
Fantastic recap. For as much [partially undeserved] flack that The Monsterverse gets, it honestly feels like one of the most fleshed out continuities in the Godzilla franchise, and, if not that, the most loving version. Every single entry beams with a passion for Godzilla, King Kong, or Giant Monsters as a whole.
This universe's continuity may be a mess, considering its few entries compared to universes like the MCU, but we can always trust Dakota to make sense out of all of it in a very comprehensive timeline.
Bro! An hour long look at this is insane. No wonder you were holed up watching Godzilla films for months. I'm always impressed! I'd tell you that I hope the next video is simpler and easier, but let's be honest, that's probably not going to happen.
You've done it again, Dakota! I've been looking forward to this Timeline since you first mentioned being interested in diving into it, and ohhh boy, IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT. Thank you for your dedication in not just the research, but also the amazing editing and visuals you put into this video (and all videos, ofc). I hope people come to this video more and more as we come closer to Godzilla x Kong. Now, I've tried doing this Titan-Sized task of tracking the MonsterVerse timeline, but very poorly it seems. There's much new information and new characters to me! Thank you for also reading the comics, summarizing them for us and placing them in the timeline as well! I used to think the Skull Island 1973 Mission took place on April 7th, due to some reports and videos stating that, but it being in January-February makes so much sense due to the War background. I had noticed it but paid no attention to it in favor of the April date haha And oh, I've been dying to talk about this! In regards to the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters continuity: -I came to the same conclusion as you, with G-Day working best on the 16th of May! Even if there's so much going against it, it definitely works best in that date. -And I'm sure you know about this, but for Kentaro's Art Gallery flashback, I believe it occurs on March 19, 2014 (even if the poster says June), since the graphic designer Arin Ringwald who did the artwork for the show posted on their blog some other versions of the poster with that March date, so... Maybe they were told to add March in the first place, and then for some reason they were told to change it to June? Anyway, even though it wasn't used, it works better for it happening just one year before the April 2015 date, and not in June 2014, after G-Day. -There's definitely no excuse for the year of May and Kentaro meeting being that horribly dated lmao -Also, Ecko (@Blacklight_21) actually posted to Twitter how the teaser for the series showed a December 16, 1959 date on a redacted file. Isn't is safe to assume that's at least the month when Keiko fell to Axis Mundi, as the redacted file would be a report on that mission? Looking forward to your next videos as well!
Thanks so much, Isaac! Super glad you enjoyed it. Gonna take some time to respond to everything you said, so here I go: I had heard the April dates myself in regards to Kong: Skull Island, but considering the war was literally ending, and the LandSat team was already planning an expedition, it didn't really work for me. Glad we agree on the G-Day date! I actually hadn't seen that March 19th date in the concept art! That would be pretty awesome if that were the case though. When you can, could you find that blog post and send it my way? And yeah, the Kentaro/May 1 year/2 years issue makes no sense. I saw those dates and put them in my notes. I did consider using that as the day Keiko fell into Axis Mundi but... ended up choosing not to because it wasn't solidly confirmed to be that exact mission.
This is the true timeline of the Monsterverse that I was looking for, it is very well explained and structured, and thanks for adding the comics that are canon, especially Godzilla Aftershock and Muto Prime, whose participation was of vital importance, this comic Like the others, except for Godzilla Awakening, they are still canon because they are much more than just additional material and their stories connect very well with the films and also answer many details and questions that cannot be seen in the films.
This was a great timeline! There's a ton of information here and there's even stuff in the Monsterverse timeline I didn't even know about until now. Although, there are a couple of things that are missing. The years Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah were discovered (Rodan was discovered in 1991, Mothra was discovered in 2009, and Ghidorah was discovered in 2016, just 3 years before King of the Monsters took place), and there's also the discoveries made during King of the Monster's events. Na Kika was discovered sometime before Ghidorah was awakened (nicknamed as "Kraken" then), and the other female MUTO (Queen MUTO; nicknamed "Barb") wasn't discovered by Monarch until Ghidorah did his mass awakening call.
True, I didn’t discuss when the different Titans were discovered. Good call. Maybe I’ll include that in more detail in an updated timeline in the future! Glad you enjoyed it. And happy I could give you some new info as well!

When it comes to Godzilla: Awakening, there’s a few things. -the comic actually correlates with Kong: Skull Island in terms of the timeline of when Monarch was discovered. -the comic was confirmed by Legendary to be canon via the Monsterverse Watchalong in 2020 when discussing the Godzilla 2014 film. -Max Borenstein, who made the comic and the producer of the MV films, confirmed the comic was still canon when discussing the KOTM film and stated that Monarch kept things secret from Brody involving the events of the comic. -the official novelization of Godzilla: King of the Monsters acknowledged the Shinomura’s existence when discussing Godzilla and Monarch’s history. -the Monsterverse: Omnibus is a collection of comics from the entire series. So there’s more things confirming the comic as canon than not. -About Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the director confirmed that the show had its own place in the mythology when asked about Awakening and Aftershock. Excellent breakdown, thanks for this. Yep. The issue is that Monarch clearly retcons much of it, and the way I approach the creation of timelines is that the most recent entries take precedent over prior entries. And also, just from a general canon tier ranking perspective: live action media trumps comic book tie ins. So while yes, it was treated as canon, the two stories can no longer fit anywhere neatly side by side on a timeline. A big issue I found was the abundance of retcons introduced through Monarch, and the many films in general, so balancing that and determining which information took the top spot was the real challenge here. I incorporated some info that hasn’t necessarily been retconned from the comic into the timeline, but it’s info that needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
@@Geekritique while in most cases the live action trumps comics, that not the case here. We have the studio, novelizations, and the people who worked on the MV as a whole acknowledging the Awakening comic as canon. The only thing that even questions the comic’s state is the Monarch show, which actually contradicts the films more than the comic does.
@@Geekritique Love your break down but I have to agree with @mjjones2241 because from having seen Monarch Legacy of the monsters contradicts most of everything in the monsterverse movies and comics because the show doesn't acknowledge most events. It ignores Godzilla Aftershock as it would explain the origins of the MUTO's, Godzilla's dorsal plates being different prior to 2019 King of the Monsters and the time dilation doesn't add up to what the directors the novelization and graphic novels have stated plus when you try to arrange the scenes between monarch and Godzilla 2014 it doesn't align correctly much less the storm of skull island moving inward in 2017 since we know Ghidorah hasn't awakened yet and Kong looking like his GVK design. Sadly Legendary needs to release a guide book for the monsterverse timeline otherwise I would say ignore Monarch as it does more harm then good as from what I have seen if we ignore the Monarch show the timeline and continuity fits beautifully with Godzilla Awakening.
Unfortunately it seems to be a huge win for Legendary, and they’re definitely going to use its logic within canon more than the comic at this stage. Good show, but way too many retcons. But that’s what they are. It’s a retcon. And this timeline is littered with them.
That Legendary joke almost made me choke on my lunch. (Luckily I was already done eating when you reached the Green Monster joke.) Well done. Wait, Camazotz? Like from A Wrinkle in Time? Awesome video man! You'd think the series about monsters fighting would have simple continuity but like these films, when you start focusing on the humans, it gets messy.
My issue in the CONTINUITY is that the iwi tribe know of Godzilla thousands of years ago. Yet in the show monarch they show how he was created when testing nukes. It’s either Godzilla was already big or there was a previous version. It seems now they’re just doing some sort of cross between the monsterverse and power rangers
I think you’re confusing your origin stories a bit. The idea that he was created from the nuclear tests in the Pacific was something created by the 1998 Godzilla movie that transformed an iguana into a giant lizard, not the Monsterverse films. As such, you’re right, he has been around for thousands of years, and what we see in Monarch is just the US’s attempt to kill him.
Very cool watch! I'm not surprised that the CONTINUITY is a mess here - the tone of the movies vary pretty wildly from the 2014 Godzilla to the new Godzilla/Kong stuff, so they'd be playing fast-and-loose with the dates as well. But it's a series that's really grounded in history and legacy so it was a great choice to try and put together a cohesive timeline for. I still need to watch the Monarch show - seems like the plot is a little convoluted but the retro setting was my favorite part of Skull Island, so more of that is welcome. Would love another movie set in that timeframe, too.
That’s the easy version, yes. But you didn’t dig into the animated Kong series, any of the comics, any of the dates or years, any of the dating plot holes or assumptions. 🤷🏻♂️
I think for the sake of Story Randa wasn't allowed to discuss further what happened during Castle Bravo and K:SI was still a separate thing from Legendary that time. That's why I don't consider this a retcon due to property of K:SI back then.
Important note: you said that ghidorah called all titans but left out that kong ignored this call and prevented the skullcrawlers from taking the call. Hope this helps :) good video tho
Would love to see Legendary films bring back & reboot the Zillasaurus, from G-1998, into the Monsterverse timeline, only this time as a subspecies of Godzilla
While that wasn’t exactly my intention, you’re definitely right. It’s all over the place. They need a solid timeline guy to keep the future projects in proper order.
I hope it is ?.. space Godzilla!!!!!!!!! ,he comes to earth and kills Kong ,and that pisses of Godzilla ,who just got there as Kong lays mortally hurt ! Then Godzilla goes to work….to be continued…….🦍
It say in the File 1999 is the years that Dr Vivienne Graham had her first field assignment not that she was recruited in 1999 its not a retcon also Godzilla Awakening is Canon until it is said not to be by the makers
As for Godzilla: Awakening, it is impossible to occur within the same continuity as Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. If you would prefer to consider it canon over Monarch, that’s fine, but don’t expect Legendary to feel the same way.
I’m fine with small inconsistencies, like whether Godzilla Froze Ghidorah or Shimo did, or both, with Godzilla beating him and Shimo freezing him, but retcons such as Godzilla apparently not being a species anymore and Godzilla being the only “Gojira” is dumb since we saw Dagon, and yet now he’s not a “Gojira” but is a Gojira like creature The MCU, for all its flaws, does seem to atleast try its best to have a sort of lore keeper and make sure the timeline works, but I also understand that their timeline is much less expansive compared to Godzilla who is supposed to be like 252 Million years old
Having just watched Godzilla X Kong: Are they Shrinking Godzilla? In the first Movie he stood taller than the Golden Gate Bridge and was capsizing destroyers and cruisers by surfacing too close. Now he looks SMALL swimming down the Tiber river in Rome... (That river is only 20 feet deep and around 300 feet wide)
I don’t believe they’re knowingly shrinking him. If anything they’re claiming the opposite. But scale is something they’ve struggled with since the Monsterverse’s inception, unfortunately.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has the opportunity to canonize Godzilla vs. Kong's 2022 placement by introducing Bernie as a newly-hired employee of Apex, if they decide to start Season 2 in 2017 where Season 1 ended. Having said that, however, according to the audiobook novelization of The New Empire, it takes place three years after Godzilla vs. Kong... in 2027.
@raidenthenctzenwithinsomni4961 Well I’m glad I was able to put up a good argument for 2022, but the GxK film (and novel) definitely consider GvK to be in 2024. I can’t swim upstream forever 🤷🏻♂️
Great video, I marvel how you can take all of these random elements from a bevy of writers who aren't communicating with one another and forge a continuity out of it.
This whole timeline reveals how many families in this series has serious issues and there's never any full reconciliation later cause some prefer death than learn.
In the case of Emma Russell, she did learn, but she knew her life was over. She chose to sacrifice her life so that her family could live basically. But yes, familial issues are a major theme in the Monsterverse.
@@Geekritique It felt more like Emma continued to run away instead of admitting she fucked up. Like a Thanos Simp, she ran to Death for comfort as some people call it But yeah. They definitely carry the family element with varied amounts of success on implementation
@jhenderson2159 As a big fan of Greg Keyes novelization of King of the Monsters, one of the best parts is her redemption arc, and her realizing her mistakes and atoning for them through self sacrifice. It doesn’t come across as well via film, sadly.
The Spanish probably were just in skull island for months at the shortest time for years They certainly arrived there after 1973 as we have no mention of a spanish village in skull island
@@Geekritique that just means around the 1500-1600s a Spanish crew was stranded on skull island If that village were their descendants they wouldnt have 20th Century clothes nor weapons of the 20th Century Its just saying across time Many different people were stranded in skull island across time The Crew from the 1973 movie wasnt the first
I see what you’re suggesting, but the 1973 crew littered the island with those weapons and clothes. I doubt that’s a coincidence. And considering the quote from the Spanish girl who couldn’t fathom what else people could build… it seems like that’s what they were intending.
@@Geekritique but seems weird the guy who was stuck on skull island for almost 30 Years never mentioned another settlement in the movie Unless they were only shipwrecked sometime after 1973
SKAR KING IS JUST A HENCHMAN OF THE REAL APE KING. DESOTROYAH IS THE NEXT ENEMY. GODZILLA WILL GIVE BIRTH and KONG and SUKO will be like GOW4 Kratos and Atreus.
@Geekritique Read the work of Toho. There are 4 ape generals (one of which is the Skar King) and an Ape King, the father of Kong. Remember that there's a mark in Skull Island? That's the red mark from the Ape King securing his son for his enemies not to find baby Kong. And the Throne there's also a Mark suggesting that That's the throne left by the previous Ape King, kong's descendant.
@roviejohnfuenteslim5059 The mark on Skull Island was put there by Kong. We saw him do it after his hands were cut by propeller blades. We also know what happened to his parents. He saw them both die after being born.
@roviejohnfuenteslim5059 What am I reading exactly? Cause having read everything in the Monsterverse, I know exactly what happens to Kong’s parents. Also Skar King is an original Legendary character, not based on Toho works.
Eh. The mcu timeline is way easier to understand then marvel. Also the fact that people actually care about this universe to care about a timeline unlike marvel, dc, star wars etc. One thing tho....you said them having the titans come from hollow earth is a retcon, i dont think so, it just provides a better explanation then them just suddenly appearing
That’s fair. I agree it’s a better explanation. It just wasn’t even a thought back in 2014, so the pivot is something I’d consider, to some degree, a minor retcon.
I like that they are trying to build lore around the Monsterverse, but man, they are as bad about creating continuity as the Alien series... Godzilla x Kong completely ignores the original battle with Ghidorah, any mention of Rodan. I feel like they have too many ideas and can't bring them all together in a cohesive way. That's not even including the comics and Apple TV series that try to bridge the gaps...
For what it’s worth, Ghidorah is mentioned pretty significantly in the novelization, specifically how he was frozen in ice. I’m making a follow up video now on the topic. Thanks for the comment!

Glad this showed up on my recommended! Incredible work
Super glad it showed up for you. Thank you!
Awesome video man! You'd think the series about monsters fighting would have simple continuity but like these films, when you start focusing on the humans, it gets messy.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Continuity Ticket #27!
The continuity within this franchise is that of legend
Dude I know. Love this franchise!
Continuity Ticket #15!
Continuity Ticket #23!
Awesome job Dakota. As always.
Thank you, Manu!
Raymond Martin sounds like a homage to Raymond Burr who played Steve Martin from Godzilla King of The Monsters 1956 and Godzilla 1985.
thank you for the content ! well put together
You’re very welcome!
Thank you sincerely for your service in compiling everything into this highly entertaining yet informative video. Service guarantees citizenship.
Glad to hear it and you’re VERY welcome! Happy that people are finding it entertaining!
You should absolutely watch the Monarch show! Good stuff. Retcons a lot, but what doesn’t haha. Thanks so much for watching.
Continuity Ticket #12!
Kong: Skull Island
Godzilla
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 1
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
GodzillavsKong
GodzillaxKong
Easy timeline 🔥🔥🔥.
That’s the easy version, yes. But you didn’t dig into the animated Kong series, any of the comics, any of the dates or years, any of the dating plot holes or assumptions. 🤷🏻♂️
@Geekritique Yep, I prefer the easy way 😅... but I love the Monsterverse too.
15:16 Maybe a titan destroyed it and that’s why it looks like it’s been abandoned for longer than it has, just a thought
It’d be a bit unorthodox, but I think a timeline of the Kung-Fu Panda universe would be cool.
Could be fun haha.
Yo this is dope
Thanks Kyle!
Amazing video and incredible breakdown, my mind got blown away that Sandra and Michelle are sister, how could I have miss that
Oh I’m so happy you enjoyed it! And yeah, that blew my mind too!
Monsterverse is awesome!
It definitely is!
Ive been trying to get into the monsterverse, ths for this! 💥💥💥💥
You’re very welcome!
watched this while building legos. 10/10. now i gotta check out your other timelines because i got even more sets 😭
Thanks so much! Enjoy!
I think for the sake of Story Randa wasn't allowed to discuss further what happened during Castle Bravo and K:SI was still a separate thing from Legendary that time. That's why I don't consider this a retcon due to property of K:SI back then.
That’s a fair point.
great work, bro. but, remember. one can not have unity without continuity.
Thanks so much man. You’re very right!
Continuity Ticket #7!
Important note: you said that ghidorah called all titans but left out that kong ignored this call and prevented the skullcrawlers from taking the call. Hope this helps :) good video tho
I loved that explanation in the novelization. Good call. Yeah that’s pretty important.
Definitely needed this for the new movie
Hopefully this enhances your overall experience!
33:14 (when you talk about the school bus) I think they were using school busses because they were transporting people to shelters*
Yes, but this was retconned by Monarch, so I felt the point made was valid.
@@Geekritique ohh okay, I did not know that. Thank you!
Continuity. Never new that there was so much to these movies
That was my thought when I was researching it all!
Continuity Ticket #18!
Would love to see Legendary films bring back & reboot the Zillasaurus, from G-1998, into the Monsterverse timeline, only this time as a subspecies of Godzilla
I think the newest movie is the best. My favorite, for sure. Looking forward to more.
Man, this video made me realize just how sloppy the writing is. There's no communication between the writers on the different projects.
While that wasn’t exactly my intention, you’re definitely right. It’s all over the place. They need a solid timeline guy to keep the future projects in proper order.
I love it
20:11 Bamboo Spider There are two of them.
Nice 👍
I hope it is ?.. space Godzilla!!!!!!!!! ,he comes to earth and kills Kong ,and that pisses of Godzilla ,who just got there as Kong lays mortally hurt ! Then Godzilla goes to work….to be continued…….🦍
You want monke dead??
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
19:13 I remember seeing a March date during this scene on the screen, did you notice it, I may have misread the year
Yep! The Landsat slides of Skull Island were dated to March 4, 20, and 24 of 1972.
I gotcha thanks. When I first saw those I didn’t notice it said 1972 and assumed that was the current timeframe
Great video love it❤
Thanks Godzilla! Big fan!
great video
Thank you 🙏
My theory on the death of skull island’s iwi is that they made it off the island, but died at sea because of the storm
I guess that could work.
Finally a new vid 🎉🎉🎉
Enjoy! This one’s for you, Josiah.
@@Geekritique yessir!
Where does titanus Doug fit into the " continuity"
I squeezed him onto the screen, don’t worry.
Continuity Ticket #11!
director of monarch Verdugo totes gives me imperious leader vibes from battle star galactica and its creeping me tf out
Yeah… she’s got some skeletons in her closet for sure.
i've always been curious is dagon supposed to be godzillas dad or something?
All we know is it’s another of Godzilla’s species.
It say in the File 1999 is the years that Dr Vivienne Graham had her first field assignment not that she was recruited in 1999 its not a retcon also Godzilla Awakening is Canon until it is said not to be by the makers
Note her Monarch activation date in the top right. It doesn’t work with her being hired by Serizawa in 1997.
As for Godzilla: Awakening, it is impossible to occur within the same continuity as Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. If you would prefer to consider it canon over Monarch, that’s fine, but don’t expect Legendary to feel the same way.
PERFECTION,
Glad you like it!
We need a Godzilla/Pacific Rim crossover
I’m fine with small inconsistencies, like whether Godzilla Froze Ghidorah or Shimo did, or both, with Godzilla beating him and Shimo freezing him, but retcons such as Godzilla apparently not being a species anymore and Godzilla being the only “Gojira” is dumb since we saw Dagon, and yet now he’s not a “Gojira” but is a Gojira like creature
The MCU, for all its flaws, does seem to atleast try its best to have a sort of lore keeper and make sure the timeline works, but I also understand that their timeline is much less expansive compared to Godzilla who is supposed to be like 252 Million years old
I'll need to watch the Monarch show to learn more about this continuity.
It’s definitely worth it! Great show.
Continuity Ticket #20!
"... all of his fury." I understood that reference.
Hahaha!! Glad this didn’t go unearned!
Crazy how they got the russells playing same character. Also who protected raised kong
What do you mean?
Continuity
Continuity Ticket #16!
Some people out there theorize shimo to be the ancestor to all titans from earth of course, even titanus kong
That would be pretty interesting!
@@Geekritique Admittedly the shots of him curled up in the Colosseum were cute. But he definitively looked A LOT bigger in the first movie
Crazy part about all this is that I'm 25 and just discovering the monsterverse here i was just watchin to watch 🤦🏿♂️ NOW I Observe 🧐
Love this! Enjoy.
Continuity 2:17
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has the opportunity to canonize Godzilla vs. Kong's 2022 placement by introducing Bernie as a newly-hired employee of Apex, if they decide to start Season 2 in 2017 where Season 1 ended.
Having said that, however, according to the audiobook novelization of The New Empire, it takes place three years after Godzilla vs. Kong... in 2027.
Yep, making an updated timeline now. There’s actually in film proof of a 2024 date for GvK in GxK as well.
@@Geekritique Oh, is there? Cause the arguments you made in favor of the 2022 date were actually pretty convincing.
@raidenthenctzenwithinsomni4961 Well I’m glad I was able to put up a good argument for 2022, but the GxK film (and novel) definitely consider GvK to be in 2024. I can’t swim upstream forever 🤷🏻♂️
I love the monsterverse but it really needs a story bible
Oh my gosh it reaaaally does.
What was Hiroshi’s Main goal? To prevent another G-Day or prove that there is another world down there and that his father didn’t die in vain.
Could be a mix of both, considering Hiroshi was using some modified form of Suzuki’s tech. But we really don’t know.
I would love some more "continuity" I my life perhaps in the form of cards
Don’t we all need a bit more continuity? 😏
Continuity Ticket #10!
6:23 ice, icy water
It’s now confirmed thanks to the GxK Novelization that Ghidorah was frozen by Shimo.
They really need to fix when monarch was founded
Do Transformer Timeline
If Dakota is 3rd, who are the first and second favorite chronologists?
I dunno, I just assume I’m nobody’s first fav 😂
Great video, I marvel how you can take all of these random elements from a bevy of writers who aren't communicating with one another and forge a continuity out of it.
Thanks Dan! Haha, it’s true, it’s all over the place. BUT! There is a story that you can thread through it all.
Continuity Ticket #8!
Like a Thanos Simp, she ran to Death for comfort as some people call it
But yeah.
@@Geekritique Novelizations always tend to do more justice than the films
Awesome stuff, amazing to see how you weave the frankly stupid continuity of the Monsterverse together. 😂
It is a little dumb hahaha, but thanks.
Continuity Ticket #13!
I really want stories about Godzilla and the Titans but with minus dialogues.
Wait, like you want less dialogue, or dialogue like Minus One?
@@Geekritique No, just zero dialogues.
I'm not overly worked up about the timeline myself
No worries, that's what I'm here for. To get worked up so you don't have to haha.
The new one is in 2027
Yep! Confirmed. Making a follow up video now!
@@Geekritique I know and maybe the next one might come on that year or earlier before that
👍
Thanks for watching!
The Spanish probably were just in skull island for months at the shortest time for years
They certainly arrived there after 1973 as we have no mention of a spanish village in skull island
In episode 4 we see a Spanish conquistador sword that Charlie claims is “like… 100s of years old.” I don’t believe that to be a coincidence.
@@Geekritique that just means around the 1500-1600s a Spanish crew was stranded on skull island
If that village were their descendants they wouldnt have 20th Century clothes nor weapons of the 20th Century
Its just saying across time Many different people were stranded in skull island across time
The Crew from the 1973 movie wasnt the first
I see what you’re suggesting, but the 1973 crew littered the island with those weapons and clothes. I doubt that’s a coincidence. And considering the quote from the Spanish girl who couldn’t fathom what else people could build… it seems like that’s what they were intending.
@@Geekritique but seems weird the guy who was stuck on skull island for almost 30 Years never mentioned another settlement in the movie
Unless they were only shipwrecked sometime after 1973
@alphagamer9505 I understand the sentiment, it doesn’t make sense to me either, but I’m expressing what was clearly implied by the show. 🤷🏻♂️
What a time 🤯😤😮💨
Hope you enjoyed the video!
@@Geekritique my brain is 🤯🤯 good job 💪👍🏻❤️
Awesome! Glad you liked it!
I HATE WHEN THEY ADD PRISON LOVERS IN MOVIES LIKE WHATS THE PURPOSE OF A MOVIE IF WE GOT TO BE REMINDED WE'RE STILL HERE
When talking about kong / skull island you mentioned president Reagan , which was actually president Nixon.
Yeah dumb mistake. I noted it as one of the mistakes in the pinned comment. Good catch.
11:59 INDONESIA MENTIONED🎉🇮🇩
Wooo! 🥳 🥳
First! Now it's time to dive "Into the Monsterverse."
Hahaha! Enjoy bro!
They literally just wiped shinomura from existence with monarch…
...yeahhh. They definitely did.
SKAR KING IS JUST A HENCHMAN OF THE REAL APE KING.
DESOTROYAH IS THE NEXT ENEMY.
GODZILLA WILL GIVE BIRTH and KONG and SUKO will be like GOW4 Kratos and Atreus.
Godzilla’s giving birth to who??
@Geekritique Read the work of Toho. There are 4 ape generals (one of which is the Skar King) and an Ape King, the father of Kong.
Remember that there's a mark in Skull Island? That's the red mark from the Ape King securing his son for his enemies not to find baby Kong.
And the Throne there's also a Mark suggesting that That's the throne left by the previous Ape King, kong's descendant.
@roviejohnfuenteslim5059
The mark on Skull Island was put there by Kong. We saw him do it after his hands were cut by propeller blades. We also know what happened to his parents. He saw them both die after being born.
@@Geekritique Do me a favor and read.
@roviejohnfuenteslim5059 What am I reading exactly? Cause having read everything in the Monsterverse, I know exactly what happens to Kong’s parents.
Also Skar King is an original Legendary character, not based on Toho works.

Continuity Ticket #26!
Um you left out how kong was literally killed by Godzilla. He won.
I guess it wasn’t important to the script ultimately, but you’re right.
he was close to death but wasn't dead there's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead
41:19
Is that how far you’ve gotten?
Yea
@@GeekritiqueI actually just finished watching
Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
