Great explanation. Do you have any short logs that you’ve milled without doing a time lapse? Curious what the time commitment is per slab.
I don’t. If I just milled this log without making a video, I could probably do it in 15 minutes or less.
Hi Levi! I'm interested in the way you fix the mill on your chainsaw. As I see it, the tip of the bar is not fixed to the mill. Is the bar drilled through where the mill holds the bar? Doesn't it get loose by the forces? Thanks, and great contents!!

So are you kiln drying the wood at all for your charcuterie boards? What moisture content do they need to be at?
Yes. I hire a kiln service to dry almost everything I mill. I will have my own kiln one day.
Can I buy for cutting board wood?
I don’t ship but these would work great for cutting boards
How would I mill even bottom slabs from driftwood logs with limb knobs and partial limbs still stick out, like a cedar tree drift log, like cut the log in half lengthways but evenly as I want to have 2 live edge slabs or then cut those in 2? Thanks, Kevin
I would just trim up the top so you can screw a ladder to it. Make a perfect flat cut and then start slabbing.
