biggest challenge for India to achieve net zero emission is to find alternative to Coal and non renewable sources. Solar and wind can't produce as much as energy that coal produce
Coal is still cheapest for energy production per unit (kWh) . Nuclear required just government and public support . There is politic on this India sadly .
Thanks to provide so informative videos..i like it so much .i request to Hindu to broadcast daily basis such videos on burning issues....thanks of bottom of my heart 💓
Net zero is not necessary, inorder to achieve it you have replace all the old items like vehicles, industries which in turns will create or support pollution. But change is necessary, the way we live. Vehicles and industries needs to have a better fuel to run.
We have accelerated the rate of environmental degradation.. We should be in alliance with nature.. Can be possible by increasing the green cover so that it becones carbon sink and acquiring the technology of cabon removal which Iceland has at Present..

We need to build thorium reactor. All this research and funding of decades and we haven't even build one. If successful we could have net 0 emmision in energy sector for hundreds of years.
That required decade more . Thorium and deuterium are cheapest fuel for nuclear reactor in future . Just need PPP model and deep pocket research fund .

Useful for my Exam preparation
It can be achievable. By development and environment conservation go hand in hand..

Nuclear is the best option

but it's 7 times more effective than coal and 10 times to nuclear one!
For a developing country, it is very difficult to achieve.. Btw india has low per capita carbon emission
Very very nice and informative video. TH should make daily one video on burning issues.

Talk about Carbon emmision equity, Rather than hollow talk of Net Neutrality.

Please add English subtitles, it's a bit hard to understand certain words, plus having subs give me high concentration.
The term ‘Carbon Reduction’ is missing in the initial statements.
India must embrace and capitalize on solar energy.
