Great video! Count me in as new subscriber 167, which coincidentally is when I was born (Jan '67), so my tastes in comics runs close to yours, though I leaned heavily Marvel growing up. I did like Super Friends so picked up JLA on occasion. I'm buying a lot of the collections and so really enjoyed and appreciated your shelf tour. I'm very excited for the DC Finest line and watching videos about it, which is how I found your channel. Definitely dropping anchor to check out your earlier stuff!
Nice library, enjoyed the browse. I hope DC finally stick to a format, such a wealth of material untouched, never reprinted, and some things long out of print. My major interest is pre-Crisis DC, gold, silver, bronze age, with the exception of Legion of Super-Heroes ending with new52. I'll buy Justice Society, Justice League, Superman, Supergirl, Legion of Super-Heroes, some of the volumes of Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Batman. Unannounced lines I'd like, Superboy, World's Finest, golden age Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr, Marvel Family, the JSA members solo titles Black Canary, Doctor Fate, Starman ect. And silver and bronze age Sea Devils, Jonah Hex, Scalphunter, Firestorm, Madame Xanadu, Demon, Omega Men, Adam Strange, Arion, Arak, Ambush Bug, Amethyst, Captain Carrot, New Teen Titans, Enemy Ace, Hawkman, Atom, Freedom Fighters, All-Star Squadron and Infinity Inc.
I'm hoping DC will put out more Superman from the seventies come out on DC Finest. Many of the DC Finest collections have already been reprinted several times, and I would like to see some older series.
I can't seem to find a screenshot, but the back of the books have a list of what years the comics will cover and it goes from 1939 - 2010? I think? They did also say that many of the stories will be reprinted for the very first time.
Like you, I'm concerned about whether they will actually stick with this line and see it through to completion. These books are a pretty nice and affordable way to find out which stories really stir you up, but they're doing all sorts of things wrong already. Lack of uniformity in publication (different sizes of logos, different color lettering on the rear etc.), releasing series in the middle of their runs, instead of from the start (I guess, trying to copy epic's nonsense way of handling it), recoloring past established artwork.
They have their slate of releases out already all the way through the end of 2025 for this line. So we'll at least get like 10 more volumes. I know they announced, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Justice Society, and Catwoman but there was a lot of announcements.
I am stoked about this collection. I, like you, hope it is successful and that they don't abandon it! I would like to see Neal Adams Batman, Atom Hawkman, Aquaman, Metal Men, Blackhawk, Sgt, Rock, Swamp Thing, and Do you Dare Enter the House of Mystery !
Good Collection DC Finest Bronze and Silver Age Superman along with Supermans pal jimmy olsen and Supermans Girl Friend Lois lane, along with Supergirl and Superboy
Oh A DC's Finest collection for Aquaman was actually announced along with a bunch of other hero collections for 2025.

I seen on Amazon of dc aquaman. I was really looking forward to the silver age aquaman omnibus and was very disappointed that they canceled it.

Seeing theres none announced for 2025 brings me concern that it might be heading to abandonment already
