Congrats on the Anthem!!! I got mine in last week and it has given my speakers brand new life. The only issue is we have to wait to run Arc Genesis calibration. Anthem is working out a few bugs and have a beta form for the Room correction. I’m extremely happy with it, and will be running atmos speakers for the 1st time as well. Anthem 😆

In the process of upgrading my Marantz AV7005. Currently running it with a Legacy Powerbloc2, feeding a pair of Martin Logan 60XTis.( both purchased from S&SHQ I was almost ready to pull the trigger on the AV7706, until watching your video on the AVM70. I’m a 2 hour drive from SafeandSoundHQ and will likely go with the Anthem. Keep up the great videos. Cheers!
Excellent choice my friend. I have mine on order. I also have a Monoprice 7x200 amp that I love. Plenty of power for my Tekton Encores, B&W center and SVS ultra prime surrounds. I agree, great choice this pro. You are going to love this thing. ARC is much better than the japanese brands room correction and more user friendly. Even the quality of the microphone is better. These new proccesors come at very good prices too.

Which xlr cables did you go for and does the processor suffer from a loud fan noise? Demo wise try mad max fury, the great wall and turtles 1. Those are the only films that actually travel to our neighbours. We're detached too lol
The previous model the Anthem AVM60 measured poorly in tests, plus quite a lot of owners said it was buggy. Overall quality and performance wise there was better elsewhere for a similar price. The newer Anthem AVM70 model has a better DAC and some other improved internals. So theoretical it should be better than the older model. But always wise to wait for multiple reviews and user feedback. And even better to demo the unit at home to see if it's worth keeping or sending back.
Watch out for Anthem. They refused to answer the following questions. 1- Is HDMI 2.0a or 2.0b 2- Does AVM 70 support Dolby Atmos from TV to AVM ? ( True e ARC) What is Anthem hiding?
@@Kpaceguy why do they refuse answering legitimate questions. And if I find out it is not true e ARC, then I have to ship it back, cross my finger that I won’t get charged for shipping, restocking fee and so on. If a company does not do pre sale service what is the chance that they do after sale service.

The line said something like this.:” HDMI is 2 channels because it is used for sending the signal to TV.” There is no legal definition for e ARC. So technically a company can chrome plate a ARC HDMI connection and call it enhanced ARC. There is only one way to find out for sure. Ask them in writing in a way that they can’t hide behind ambiguous terms like e ARC.
You were unable to use the ARC because it isn’t working at time of release which I find unforgivable. This is not a EA video game. This is supposed to be a high-end product. No thank you. Getting my deposit back.
I didn’t open mine either but if you look through the vents on top you can see it. Either way I just plugged it in and it sounds night and day compared to my Denon X4400H

I'm not much of a fan for the majority of klipsch subs compared to svs or rel or even rhymik and paradigm and etc. They don't seem to dig as deep or have as much power.
@@Kpaceguy Look into REL line array subwoofers. Adding height to bass is another dynamic that most home theater people miss out on vs. Audiophile 2 channel systems. I am creating line arrays with my home theater. The AVM 90 is the best choice for the least money. Only perfect one would be the Trinnov but too much money.
Their new lineup is buggy as hell!!!! their ARC software is beyond terrible at this point. Played with it for several hours before I managed to get an uploaded correction. Now sound comes out of the center channel but not not the front L/R sometimes... after a reboot it'll come out of the L/R and not the C... but when it does come out of all the configured channels, the sound is phenomenal!!!! Is it too much to ask that a $3k+ product just work when you buy it??
@@Kpaceguy I got the MRX 740. Maybe they put a little more effort into the AVM lineup. When I do simple things like rename Profile 1 or HDMI1 to something custom, I can no longer adjust any speaker config and ARC no longer works until I do a reset, then I lose all my custom settings. lol it's so messed up. You've seriously experienced 0 bugs?
@@Kpaceguy Yeah I did the same. The firmware it came with wouldn't even connect to my wifi and there was no way to access the web interface, I had to carry it over to my router and plug a wire in order to get the first firmware upgrade, after which the wifi started working.
Hdmi 2.1 was left out intentionally because at its current state its not usable. So when it's stable they will upgrade the boards. My only complaint is that it's a paid upgrade

Anthems are very weak and of poor quality, the 7 series can reach 70 watts in 8 ohms, 7 channels in 5 channels, which means it drops to 35 or even 30 watts in 4 ohms, if a 4 ohm speaker is connected or 6 ohms, the minimum impedance of this speaker drops to 2.5 or 3 if it falls, then this is the best possibility, the sudden sound will turn on at high volume
The biggest bug is that the website you use to calibrate needs to be able to find your anthem unit with your wifi but it won't find it. So everything's functional but can't calibrate WHICH SUCKS haha but I'm sure it won't be long. Until then we'll have to hang tight on the videos

0 bugs for me. But I did update my avm70 the moment I purchased it so check and make sure you're up to date

too early. There's too many bugs on this first delivery.
