I think Dylan has a claim at least as great as Sinatra's to be called the voice of the American century in popular music. Both have influenced the genres they worked in like no other. Their music is a prism through which we and generations to come will be able to see, hear and better understand the times through which we have lived.
This particular performance of this song is probaby my favorite--it's excellently sung.& delivered with beautiful lyrics & sincere evocative emotions. ♥ 😇 xxxooo
Beautifully crafted by Bob. How it seems he is singing to me, I never want to understand. I just love the way it feels. Another wonderful capture. With so much thanks!
I love you, Beth. Im so grateful for you, my heart ❤️ Thank you for sharing your gifts for me and all of us. God Bless you, and I will be standing right beside you, forever, ♾️ Bob Dylan
Bob in New Orleans !!!!! What an atmosphere. Glad you enjoyed. Those of us that get it , get it. This tour is amazing. The blending of two electric guitars with Mr Herron's pedal steel and mandolin is just gorgeous. My sister and I saw him at The Fox in Atlanta. We met a couple at a nearby bar before the show who came from Denmark to see multiple shows. Very cool. I'm hoping it's not my last Dylan show but RARW tour is fully booked through 2024. He'll be 83 or 84 when it wraps up. Every Grain Of Sand at the end was just stunning. He still brings it and the long Covid hiatus did wonders for his voice.
Excellence all around! .... Thanks so very much 🙏👍😃. ... Can't believe I didn't catch this when first uploaded 🤔. ... Anyways, am very happy it appeared upon my suggested homepage list deal today. - Thanks again & be well. ... 🤘
Wow, that is all I can say, and thank you for posting. It's very special and I like how you described Bob's emotions/feelings and moods. No, there is nothing to add, I agree with you.
I'm glad you're enjoying it. Please check back often - I have over 100 hours total footage from more than 75 shows I filmed starting in '89 and I'm working to get as much good footage up as quickly as I can. :)
Best Dylan this or that, so hard to choose. I chose this as best audio recording Bob Dylan - Red River Shore (Outtake from 'Time Out Of Mind' sessions - Official Audio) Perfection. Bottomless beauty.
I've always had a sweet love for Bobby. He may be getting older, but so am I. He has 10 years on me. I wish to meet him and spend some time with him before I leave this earth. I wish.
Yours is a nice, interesting sentiment, but not what Dylan sings. It’s always “giving myself to you” in the song. I think this is the lyric you’re referencing: I’m giving myself to you, I am, From Salt Lake City to Birmingham From East LA to San Antone, I don’t think I could bear to live my life alone
@@robertjohngillies3666 But what would that mean? And according to “Occam’s Razor” (common tool for logical analysis) the simplest explanation is typicall the true or correct one. The title of the song is: I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You.” Throughout the song every verse enfs with that title line as well. In addition in the last bridge (before the final verse) he directly addresses that person identified as “you” with some specific statements about how and when; “I’ll see you at sunrise, I’ll see you at dawn, I’ll lay down beside you when everyone’s gone.” Moreover, the lyrics on bobdylan.com show the line as “I’m giving myself to you, I am” So it seems kind of odd to me and a really BIG reach to think or suggest that the line reads and means anything different from what seems so obvious and clear. Of course you can hear or interpret the line however you like, but to me, hearing it as anything different from what appears eminently obvious just seems like an odd exercise in superfluous intellectualization and complication.
I don’t have it all and parts are pretty choppy. I also do quite a bit of work on the raw footage to improve the quality of the video and audio before I upload clips. If I waited to finish the whole show before posting any clips, it would take a LOT longer until anyone could see any of it. Plus it seems a lot of people orefer watching individual songs more than an hour or more show at once. But I’ll take your suggestion, I think, and reassemble the finished clips into a single video with everything there is after I’ve finished working and posting the individual song clips.
The maestro, the balladeer, the greatest artist of the last 100 years still creating great music!
Always surprised when Zimmy just casually releases a new record - ie: "Shadow Kingdom"🏆🙌
Last 100 years? As George Harrison once said: “ Dylan makes Keats sound like Billy Joel”
@@birtlee2078 lol. George also said the Beatles would be forgotten in 500 yrs but Bob will still be studied.
Nothing left to say 🙏👍👌
I don't want to live my life alone either
"YES!" -- that's the only thing left for me to say.
Well, and maybe to add that the first piano line Bob plays here is lovely!
Yes - I love the piano here, too.
Yes I'm old, 71yrs and Bob stills rings true, I've been on his road since the 60s and I'm still with you Bob.
